Does the cure not work long is Mags to powerful to cure or did fate intervine Who will you stand with ?

I'm going with the Magneto is too powerful option.

For a mutant to be cured, they will need to extract the X Factor off of their bodies, so long the organ still there, it might work again at some point.

I'm leading towards Magneto being too powerful. I didn't like that chess scene... they filmed it weeks before release and it's way too ambiguous. The only way I can look at it in a positive light is if Magneto is now so proud and grateful to have what little bit of power he has left, that he won't risk losing it again.

HOWEVER Magneto sure does have reason for a personal vendetta against Wolverine now.. I mean, if I were him and were able to get enough power back, I might do something so crazy as try and get revenge on him, maybe even rip that remarkable metal out of his entire body..

Magneto is willing to get his powers back and will focus on it. I'm thinking he's too powerful for the cure to be permanent.

Very scientific.

Here's a dumb question, what if Magneto built his machine again and got Polaris to use it in order to mutate him back again?

The X-Factor isn't an organ, it's a gene.

is Polaris dead now is Mags because we all remeber what happened to kelly? Or did He maybe have something in btwn those darts and his skin ?

Yeah, I really think they made a mistake by stabbing him in the chest, considering Magneto would be an idiot by not wearing armour.

The needles were probly Metal too

P.S. nice sig

If the cure isn't temporary then Rogue is forever lost to us in the movieverse as is Mystique.

Plus if Leech's effects are only temporary, perhaps the syrum is as well?

I don't give a s**t for either of them so I'm going with the mags is to powerful option.

Indeed. Well Rogue does practically nothing in the movies and Mystique...I like her better human and naked.

I believe Magneto is simply too powerful to be cured. As we all know, it was he who had the most gratitude to be a mutant and have his remarkable powers. Imagine being him, one of the most powerful mutants in the world, raging a powerful war against the humans, the people who took him from his family, and are now threatening his existence... and suddenly having your powers torn away from you by some dumbass with claws. I believe he's spent a hell of a lot of time sitting in that park, working on regaining his powers day in, day out. And now they are slowly returning. He lived an incredibly long life, using his powers to the full extent... I don't believe a few needles filled with a 'cure' could possibly take away his powers.

He is my favorite character of all Xmen (and villians period) i stood up and screamed when that king twitched.

As long as Rogue gets her powers back some how, I don't care if the cure is temp or not.

^ or leaves the mansion and comes back with better powers she absorbed and a certain cajun.

Right there with you. Next to Storm, he is my favourite character. When it moved, I was all 'Boo yah, baby! Mags is back, woop woop!'.
