Cure Discussion Thread

    I've tried searching for a suitable discussion of the "Cure" subplot and haven't turned any results, but if I indeed missed something mods please lock this topic and point me in the right direction.

    So what does everyone so far think of the Cure storyline being introduced in X3? While it feels like a slight ripoff from the previous films subplots, I can't deny that it could certainly have a lot of impact if used correctly, and so far it seems so.

    The biggest questions are naturally "Who will get cured?", or maybe the cure is a front for something much bigger?

    Also, do you think Magneto's radiation technology could potentially reverse the effects of the cure on mutants? Since they were mutants already I doubt they'd turn into jellyfish. I wonder if that will be touched on in this film.

    Well its been confirmed that Mystique will get cured. Do we already have a thread on this BTW?
    I don't think thats what he meant. ;)

    right now, i think mystique will get the cure. i doubt rogue will - she might get close to getting it but decides otherwise. and i hope phoenix won't!

    If it is for X Squad, then I doubt it'd be counted. They have to be in forums from your own country, and since SHH is an American board and the USA isn't included in the X Squad, they won't accept this.

    Rogue better not get cured. I think that somebody nobody expects to be cured will get cured. Then I think the cure will wear off because Leech will counter act it or something like that, because after all, he was the source of the cure.

    OMG I just had a random thought that is brillant, maybe. Magneto gets cured, unwillingly, at the end. That is why he is lying on the ground with a pained expression on his face. He gets the cure and he collapses from the exhaustion of supporting the bridge so he collapses and this is how the war ends. Their leader is no longer a leader until the cure wears off. I don't remember if anyone has said this before so you can all feel free to call me insane.
