I am not asking if you think the 2 are directly tied together, because I am pretty sure they are not. But are some of the themes and characterizations in the cartoon going to be in the movie? If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out. It’s on Disney XD (of course) and I swear the guy doing Tony Stark’s voice is doing his best Robert Doney Jr. impression. Also JARVIS is a computer program in the cartoon as opposed to a live person.

Also Nick Fury in the cartoon reminds me a bit of the Nick Fury from the movies, except he has hair.

Just wondering if maybe they are using the timing of the cartoon to get kids excited about the move and increase visibility of the Avengers.

What does everyone think?

Yost (I believe) said they got Hulk and Iron Man's characterizations from the movies.

Wait, the show's Hulk is based off of the movies? Ooooooh, boy. That could mean we're not getting a ******ed brute Hulk for Avengers.

If he's telling the truth, maybe the end of TIH meant that Banner had unlocked the smart Hulk seen in the show?

They use elements of the movie-verse, but it's its own thing.

I've only seen one episode so far, the one with Captain America's intro with Bucky. It was good. I suppose with some modifications (nazis instead of Hydra agents for example) it would do. It shouldn't be a direct translation but I suppose as an influence they could do worse.

i dunno about a precursor but maybe a primer? i have a buddy whos not really all that into comics but after i had him sit down and watch this show he wanted to know everything about the avengers. he even enjoyed Iron Man 2! lol. and hes 27, i think a lot of younger people will become fans of the avengers because of this show. mostly teenage boys probably. and teenagers love to see movies and have a ton of disposable income. lol. i know if this had came out when i was a kid i wouldve went gaga over it, hell im a grown man and i still do. haha.

well it might since the show will have a Skrull invasion and now the Avengers might be battling them in the movie so yeah i guess it's kind of like a precursor.

I sure hope it's a sign too!
