I am heartbroken that I missed out on all this viral business. Batman is pretty much my favorite character of all time in any form of media. My room, is covered in Batman comics, literally wall to wall, as well as action figures and all kinds of mess.

I would really love to see everything that was offered to the fans of the movie. Anything from the websites, which I'm sure aren't up anymore, to the actual stuff they sent out to fans. If anyone has archives of the viral websites that would be awesome too.

I'd like to start looking for some of this stuff on ebay as well, but I noticed a lot of what I have seen is going for quite a bit, so that sucks. Those newspapers look pretty awesome though, I saw another topic about a shadowbox or something. Didn't really open the topic, but it would be cool to frame the newspapers as well as some of the posters.

Anyways, is there any kind of list of what was done/given out, or pictures of anything, I would really appreciate it.

I agree that a full list would be awesome. The 'show me your swag' thread probably has most of it, but not in a complete list.

Yeah, just checked that out. I had NO idea that much stuff was given out. A few months ago when I saw this board I kind of just dismissed it. Now I feel like an idiot for not getting in on all of this. I am part of a group on my campus that probably consists of about 50 people who would have probably been willing to get up in Joker make up if I had known about all that. I really missed out on a lot . . .

Oh well, I'll be ready next time I guess.

Congrats to all those who participated, hope you're enjoying all that awesome "swag"! :yay:

How, hooow could you miss it all?

It was going for about a YEAR.

;)

There's stuff on the Swag list, I mean even in the UK we got some bits and there was events, literally, worldwide.

Aaand you probably want this, which will take you from start to the end:

It's superb. :brucebat:

I know man, I don't know how I missed out on all of it. I guess it was being in college, I was online far less than I use to be and I guess I just didn't really get into it.

Also, I finally uploaded pictures of my room, thought I'd share:

Not a single TDK item =(

And you call yourself a geek ;)

I have to say though bud, WOW...that's a mental amount of collectables and like!

I'm slightly in shock, haa...and you have my laptop! Btw, do definitely check out the Wiki link there, most is still active and you could even go through it yourself.

There's stuff to pick up as well, on here, Ebay and so on. Obviously a few prices are inflated but it's worth it completely. :brucebat::joker:

Kudos to you (billabong) for all the batman stuff! I thought I was being a dork because I bought a batman lunch box and fully intend on using it everyday. Enjoy the wiki!

D'ya mean you were supposed to quote him? :p

haha, yes. although it probably took more effort to edit it than to actually change the quote. :-P

Here are some pics of my collection which is pretty complete. The only things I'm missing are a Joker phone, Bowling Ball and the stuff from Operation Slipknot.

It's pretty funny, since my friends and I just helped out in a short film shoot as the art dept, and as a joke we all wore our IBIHD shirts the first day. We got a lot of "Where did you get that?!" questions as well as some, "Aw man, that sounds so cool!" comments after we explained the viral marketing. (Naturally on a film shoot, the one movie that was mentioned most during random banter was TDK. :cwink: )

Since TDK has become an event movie, everyone has seen the film, but relatively few people knew about the viral marketing. Can you imagine how crazy it'll be for the next film if they decide to do it again? :lmao: I mean, SHH crashed every time something went down, and hundreds of people showed up to real-life game locations.

Here's a look at some of the stuff that I got during the virals, This is from the itsallpartoftheplan segment.

I have other viral stuff but most of it is shown in paulv's photo.

I got tons of swag, i'll post everything I got later.

also, how did people get chosen to receive this stuff? i followed the virals and all and never got any indication that i might be able to receive anything. i called all the phone numbers on the websites and they were just the prerecorded messages.

A lot of them were events we went to, and they handed stuff out when we were done, or along the way.

If you took any photos for the Joker, Harvey Dent, and Citizens for Batman requests and submitted them into the corresponding webpages, your address was a required field. That's how you got stuff.

I'm afraid you weren't following the virals closely enough, since the user submissions were a huge part of the game.

^^^i gotcha, and i was aware of those submissions. a lot of people, like myself, were not able to show up to the events, and i didn't go to the extent of submitting pictures or anything. i think it would've been more fair to just be able to submit your info and then have a random drawing.

Random drawing so...they could pass out only 100 vs. a few thousand? Can you imagine the backlash then?

If people bothered to spend 10 minutes taking a photo (or even taking a photo and Photoshopping..) and submitting it online, they were accepted waaay more often than not and rewarded with some swag. If people didn't bother, they didn't get swag. I don't see how unfair that is.

I don't see this one in your collection, either.

My favorite piece of swag, just because it's clearly handmade and one of a kind. From Rory's Death Kiss.
