I bought one for Batman Begins, bought one for Superman Returns, and was looking forward to buy one for TDK. Thing is I never saw it in the bookstores. Is there one out for TDK?

Better yet, is there an official making of!?

Just the Art book is all I know of.

I was at Barnes and Noble last night,to pick the Dark Knight soundtrack,Watchmen and Batman:The Killing Joke and I didn't see any official guide.Hopefully,it will come out for it......:brucebat:

I love comic adaptations and I was so pissed when they didn't make one for SM3. Hopefully, one will be made for this movie.

If there is a comic adaptation coming out, it'll probably be whittled down to 64 pages and lots of scenes will be trimmed. :csad:

Usually when these movies come out it inspires me to buy the source material stuff. When Batman Begins came out, I went out and realized, "I haven't ever read Dark Knight Returns". So I bought that and loved it. Now that I've seen TDK, I want to own Killing Joke (I've read it before but I want to actually have it). And I want to buy one of those collective volumes with the original stories so I can have the first Joker issue.

I'll check Borders at lunch then. I hope the make a comics adaptation too.

i hope that too because for the limited edition blu-ray batman begins gift set it came with a prolong comic book, so hopefully they will.

but the chances are small

I love the one for Batman Begins, and I also don't see why there aren't more books in regard to The Dark Knight (making of book, etc.) And I am sure TDK would even make a better guide.

Sure it's great and all but I want a an official sanctioned book I can buy at a bookstore, like the Batman Begins ones.

I don't know, the markets there. The art of TDK was really skimpy aswell, apart from the script it well wasn't worth the money

i ordered mine a cuople days ago (the art of tdk). i would love to have the visual guide to tdk. i loved my begins visual guide! also a comic adaptation. i just started reading the novel.

The art of DK sucked. Its mostly a script book with little pieces of production art and interviews. The art of BB was a much better book and didn't skimp out.

I do liked the the Batman Begins Visual Guide book too.

I guess a visual guide of The Dark Knight would be a worthy addiction to ALL movie aficcionados.

I also have Superman Returns and TransFormers movie Visual Guide books from DK books.

I'm glad this topic was brought up. I was gonna post it but was afraid it had either already been posted or that no one really was interested in a "Official Movie Guide".

Anyway, so I take it no one thinks they will make one? That's a shame. I really liked the Batman Begins one and a Dark Knight one would really kick ass!! If anyone hears news, be sure to post it.

The book that they have been marketing online as 'The art of The Dark Knight' is really misleading as to what you actually get and what the book actually says on the cover. The book itself is called 'The Dark Knight: Featuring production art and complete shooting script' and it's more geared to the script, as there are only sixty pages that cover art and photos. There is some good stuff in there, but it's only scraping the surface. It's nice to have the script, but if you are expecting a comprehensive selection of art you will be disappointed.

I don't understand why they didn't do what they did for Begins by producing an art book and a seperate script book. The Dark Knight, in England, has hardly been marketed at all from what I can tell. You've had a couple of TV spots on random channels, and posters on buses, but not much else. No merchandise in the shops; no product tie-ins, etc. They didn't even release the 'art' book until yesterday.
