An agnostic who prays before every meal?

You know, the reason the Lounge is not as great as it used to be is because people think simple and irrelevant topics such as this deserve there own thread, rather than being put in the lounge, a thread for random, irellevant discussion.

*waits closeing of thread*

There is either a **** load of contradiction in your post or you don't care about your Lounge as much as it seems.

And with your logic the Lounge would be the only thread here.

Are you gonna contribute anything useful to the topic at hand?

An agnostic who prays before every meal?

No, because agnostic does not mean a lack of a belief in god.

It means believing in a god, or the possibility of a god, but not adhering to any specific religious doctrine.

Where did you get this preposterous idea that the lounge was ever great?
So if it was an atheist then yes?
No.

 The lounge is for irrelevant, stupid, off topic conversation.

This isn't relevant in the slightest bit and it is just spam. It's the equivilant of makeing a thread titled "So I made a turkey sandwich for lunch".

Are you sure about that? What purpose would praying serve for an agnostic? Also, who would they be praying to?

The lounge is the TB reborn except, multiplied by a million in worseness with people who aren't as interesting. :( LOL. :o

And yez it'd prolly only be OCD if this individual would spaz out if they weren't able to say grace.

Off topic conversation? You have no idea what you're talking about at all do you? As if there is come central topic for the Community or something to adhere to.

The Community is a Lounge itself.

You're the only one getting off topic here.

Would ritual/habit not be like minor OCD?

I think the term "OCD" is waaay overused. It really is a disorder, and it's a lot less common than people think. A ritual/habit COULD be a symptom of OCD, but in this case, I'd say it's likely because the agnostic grew up saying their prayers before mealtime. It'd be more OCD-ish if the person completely could not eat their dinner without going through a series of rituals.

Exactly, a person could exhibit obsessive or compulsive behaviors without necessarily being OCD. OCD is a mental disorder, which means its in someway debilitating. Someone with obsessions or quirky compulsions does not make them OCD. Like you said its way overused.

And it's overused because everyone's trying to be interesting.

Seriously.

It's like, if you need to resort to claiming to have a mental illness in order to seem "interesting" or "dark" or what have you, you're pretty pathetic.

You could make a song called "You down wit' OCD?" and it would basically be the same refrain for four minutes. :o
