BvS Is This As Bad As I'm Hearing It Is?

Don't confuse that with a great movie. There are quite a few of very questionable things in this movie but I wouldn't call it a bad movie. It moved along at a pace and kept my interest, it developed an interesting world.

It's not an action film and not a typical CBM. It's sort of a thriller with action at the end? I think that's the issue. It's hard the categorise it. It's literally a stepping stone movie. Watch this and you'll understand everything else.

It's whether you like that it's a stepping stone movie or not. If you want a really really good solid individual beginning, middle, end film then no you won't like it.

But if you want something that continues from MoS, brings in new players then expands on that for something more then you will. I get why critics didn't like this movie, it's literally the second act of something. It's beginning is the end of one thing and the ending is the beginning for many other things. It's not itself a movie.

But I liked that.

It's nowhere near as bad as you're hearing it is. It's a flawed film, but good. The hyperbole of negativity we're seeing feels a bit like a mix between the years of anti-hype the movie has endured and the negative reviews feeding on each other and become more outlandishly bad.

The film is really good. It needs to sink in. Some folk at my showing earlier who stayed to watch all the end credits like we had thought there was quite a lot to take in, but that it was better than MoS, better written, acted, and that all round they enjoyed it.

I like that it is devisive, because you get to know who is on your level and wavelength. BvS is not bad at all, depends on your IQ I'd say..

Anyone rubbishing this film needs to go watch a few Marvel movies straight after seeing BvS, and if they can honestly say to themselves the Marvel movies were so much better on all levels, then the DC Universe is not for you.

It is not bad at all. It does need repeat watching though. Cant wait for the directors cut!

To compare it to the Marvel movies, I'd say it's not as good as the better Marvel films like THE AVENGERS, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, THE WINTER SOLDIER, on the same level as the mid-tier efforts like CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, AGE OF ULTRON, ANT-MAN, and better than their weakest entries like IRON MAN 2, THE INCREDIBLE HULK, THE DARK WORLD.

I would add that when we look back in say 2, 5, 7 years time to the DC Universe, this as you say will just be chapter two of the whole glorious saga. I too like it t:

I see it as a movie too but I get how some wouldn't. Like I said there are clearly things in this movie intentionally put in to be paid off later. And it baffles me that comic fans of all people find that aspect a bad idea. There are definitely other things to complain about but that I thought people would dig.

Nope. MoS had mixed reviews, this film has overwhelmingly negative reviews.

I like MoS and thought it was a few elements away from being a potentially great film.

BvS was at least a different director and script away from being that.

Yeah, very true. Then again, reactions to this film were never going to surprise me. Peeps have lost their mind since MoS haha

If this film and MoS had had good reactions from everyone, but the films were bland and ultimately unforgettable down the line then I would be pissed off, who wants that in life?

Some faults of course, but this film will improve with time and repeat viewings imo. Chapter two is done!

It's not a light and simple superhero movie and it's not trying to be. It's serious, aggressive, grandiose, and one heck of a great movie. It's not perfect but the hate it's getting is way overblown. Seriously go see it.
