Deadpool 2015 movie costume revealed

Looks utterly identical to me. Others are calling it perfect and the best CBM costume ever...

Ryan Renolds should´ve used: #FilmMeLikeOneOFYourFrenchGirls

also Deadpool just won the most comicbook acurate suit award...

Probably the best page-to-screen adaptation of a comic book character I've ever seen.

Wow, that must be the most comic-book-faithful suit ever. Kudos to Fox and to Reynolds.

This looks so accurate that it looks like a fan manip.

Yup, the suit is as perfect as can be.

Oh my gosh its perfect.

OH GOD! IT'S PERFECT!!!!!

There's literally nothing wrong with it! It's the best CBM costume ever!!! :')

Perfect really is the correct word to describe it!

That is literally right off the page of the comics.

Is this the closest one has come to page to screen closeness?

Yes, I would say so. The old Superman costumes were extremely close to the comic books, though.

I'm sure the M C U has a more faithful costume. **Puffs chest***

...um, maybe my scanner is malfunctioning. I will be right back with the confirmation that MCU has a better, and more faithful costume.

flees...

Hard to top the Christopher Reeve Superman look, but yeah this one is very good.

It's pretty much identical.

But same with Spider-Man, Superman, and several others.

I'm gonna go ahead and say yes. Spider-Man's very very close, but I'll give it to them because they even incorporated the expressions in the white eyes. Big kudos to the creative team on this. Hopefully it looks as good in motion.

Most faithful, it's definitely one of them. But I wouldn't say best. It looks like a Cosplay costume.

Worked in the test footage so i reckon it will

Possibly the closest. But IMO not nearly the best because how hard is it really to adapt a fabric costume? All that's really required is the guts to own up to it and not be embarrassed by it. I'd say Iron Man's first armors in the initial movie needed to surmount far more difficult challenges. Challenges that had rendered him the only first stringer on Marvel's team to have NEVER had anyone even attempt to get his costume right(in live action) prior to the 2008 film. I mean, in the comics they always just drew him as wearing spandex like everyone else and simply said it was armor. So I'd say that's still the peak of ingenuity when it comes to adapting a look from comics to film(Doc Ock's look in SM2 I'd give runner up status, also due to the difficulty level).

It's interesting that the red in his costume in the test footage is more muted and not so vividly bright red. Nobody's going to be mistaking this guy for Conan the Barbarian.:cwink:

Too comickbooky. Needs a more baroque touch and a black sword.

Superman costume's have always been very faithful to the comics.
Up until MoS costume anyway.
This is not THE most faithful adaption.

It's meant to look that way.
Deadpool is very comicbooky.

Chris Reeve's Superman was the most accurate,I'd say. But this certainly ranks up there as one of the most faithful. Certainly a feat for Fox,who has never been known for costume accuracy.

It is a LITERAL translation of comic books. Christopher Reeve is definitely first though.

Btw, TASM2 was not a LITERAL translation of the comic book suit.

There are tons of accurate costumes out there, from ironman to Batfleck to ASM and even the very original fantastic four. This however skates the line between big budget and cosplay.
Cosplays are almost always super accurate for what that's worth.

its pretty close if not the best. My favorite remains Winter Soldier though.

Haha I didn't want to be "That guy", but I have to agree. Looks super clean. Could do with a bit more battle wear and tear. He is a mercenary after all.

This is Deadpool we are talking about. Cosplay fits the character.

What about The Hulk? Those purple shorts are pretty close.
nothing beats Banner's mysteriously one-way expanding clingy shorts. thats the gold standard peeps :lmao:

and for something done in the '70s too. with no mask to cheat on with accuracy. they just nailed it. :applaud

i'd like to say Wonder Woman's current costume is pretty comic book accurate too. they couldve gone really far out with hers, but they didnt, they took the best elements from all the different costumes she's had and found a very good middle ground between faithful, realistic and badass. not an easy feat i will tell you that :ww:

oh and of course Ironman. i dont think there was ever a version of his armor that i didnt like :woot: #gearhead
