I never really fully understood the logic here.
It's illegal for people to have sex for money, unless it's done on film.
Presumably it is safer being a porn star then a ****e, there is regular testing, presumably no pimps, about 20 people on set if things get out of hand...
Yet in the end, it's the same thing; people who can't figure out anything better to do then sell themselves.
And it's becoming even more like prostitution, whereas it used to be mostly production companies that tried to put together something like a real movie, but with sex in it, now a days a lot of the content is amateurish.
I think a lot of what is happening is a lot of dirty old, rich men basically found a loophole in the system. They are overall nasty, undesirable people who'd under normal circumstances solicit prostitutes.
But in order to bypass the legal risk, they get whatever porno license necessary and make pornos with handheld video cameras, set up a site, and actually make their money back!!!
Same thing but it suits capitalism better I suppose?
Funny thing is, I bet most porn performers would take offence to being compared to prostitutes.
Anyways, whats your two cents on this?
