The big reason why Star Wars won't make nice money is because of the Point Break remake. Everyone wants to see that one.

Do they really? I thought the trailer was really underwhelming. It seemed so dull and drab compared to the original.

I honestly feel bad for Star Wars and Jurassic World. Star Wars isn't going to make any money since everyone is going to be waiting in line for Point Break and JW is going to lose it's fancy new trophy of earning the most money on an opening weekend just a few months after getting it. :(

Seriously, y'all. Point Break is going to BANK on that nostalgia.

Star Wars is already one of the most hyped movies of the year, wheras the hype for Point Break, as far as I can tell, is crickets chirping.

Guys, I was just kidding. Point Break is a bit of a head scratching remake. I know Star Wars is going to own December.

Anyways, to backtrack to our Jurassic World talk, that film has made me develop a crush on Bryce Dallas Howard. Man, was she sexy in that film. On another note, who knew that Ron Howard could have such an attractive daughter? :o

Just a quick question for you guys, I'm doing some writing and need to make some high tech stuff sound boring. For powered armour I have 'Micro circuit relay bonding with dermal tissue while under combat scenarios' and for being able to shoot energy from you hands 'accessing external energy sources to redirect through subdermal grafts and project them in a potential variety of electromagnetic ranges'.

Do they sound boring and techy enough? :D I'm not trying to make it too complicated but I'd like to make it reasonable to read.

Okay... Maybe I am behind the times but I actually have never bothered with NOSTALGIA CRITIC. Really. So, I decided tonight to pass the time with some videos. I had posted the Theodore Rex trailer in the my bad trailers thread and the NC video for TR was there on the side. So... I clicked. And clicked again on another video after watching that and so on and so forth...

Now, I will say that there are lots of interesting and thoughtful points made. He indeed nails lots on the head. He's smart and he seems to be interested in the same type of material that many of us all are. And he does indeed have a rich target environment to do his work with (films such as MASTER OF DISGUISE deserve no mercy). But what has come through this mini marathon is one thing: This guy is the muthacussing pure concentrated version of every other internet anal canal that you meet in places like the Hype. He's the patron saint of forum asshats. All the qualities are there...

Oh you know what? I just realized that by doing a snarky critique of the NC with forced humor would be to do EXACTLY what the man and his crew do. And that literally is nothing to joke about. So, I will just say this: He is smart, but has a grating personality and he thinks he's WAY funnier than he actually is by several magnitudes, and that part is what irks the most. You don't get to slam others for committing the exact same crimes. It's what's the matter with NATURAL BORN KILLERS. It's hard to make a satire of the MTV style embraced by a generation when...

DAMN, I did it again! See, that thing, the hip intellectual vibe with the the "I'm as funny as Jon Stewart at his best" so I can get a pass on being shrill and flop sweaty... That's what so many posters do. And it's tiring. Again, just like many of the posters I am thinking of, dude is smart... But he has a limited vocablulary in terms of his approach talking about seemingly anything. In the end it feels, like I said, grating, and dishonest, because you can't really be "that guy" all the time about everything. I feel drained just thinking about it, cuz that personality is what so many online seem to be about and it's a reason that the online experience is what it is for so many of us. So many want to BE this guy or at least a version of that type of fan/general observer of culture. And the truth is I do worry about becoming that guy. I am snarky. I do pride myself on my "smarts" (even though I am an idiot). I do use irony as a lingua franca... But I always try to be aware of that, or at least I have tried since my late 20's to, anyway. But I worry that those personality traits, that demeanor, is the default character for so many of us. It's like, we can't discuss or approach anything without being that way and it's limiting, and as I said, grating, and lacking a sense of limitations, or real appreciation. It's just nit picking and blind cynicism for the most part and it's something leaking into all aspects of culture and it makes things, just that much worse all around in general... Which may not be much. I mean I am just going on about another asshat on the Internet after all. Still... It feels like a symptom of a general lack of self awareness in the culture at large.

My two cents.

No even the crickets haven't heard of it yet.

Your lifestyle sounds head-ache inducing.

Just peeordered Battlefront, Halo 5, Mass Effect 4, Gear Ultimate Edition & Gear 4.

No Fallout 4 or Dishonored 2? For shame. :o

My single player game backlog is a few hundred games deep. I won't play either of those until I've completely finished their predecessors (and I haven't even started Dishonored).

I never thought I would like bates motel so much. I didn't think I would develop a crush on Vera Farmiga since I saw the conjuring so I know how you feel...mrmaooz. :)

Man they fired 8 people today, of course I made the cut but I had to thro my buddy Chris under the bus to save my buddy Zach. The way I figure it though is Chris doesn't have a good chance of winning his trial on Thursday so I think it was the more pragmatic decision

You had to choose who makes it out of your 2 mates?

Well it wasn't really my choice, I was told it was already decided this morning that Zach was going to be fired and Chris had a job. I got both of them the job here. But Chris is my buddy I bailed out of jail and has trial on Thursday. The thing is he has a public defender and the state has records showing all his DUI's in Tennessee, they just don't have fingerprints so he is hoping he can get one juror to agree with him and I think that's a slim chance. Plus Chris is new to the game so his numbers aren't consistent and his kick outs are high. Whereas my buddy Zach and I go way back and he knows his stuff he is just dealing with some mental health issues so his attendance hasn't been great. I just told my homie Jeff who is the GM it makes sense to cut Chris and keep Zach since most likely Chris will be going to prison if he loses his trial. Like I said I made the pragmatic call. If Chris does win telemarketing jobs are a dime a dozen here and I can get him another job no problem

NBC has finally killed Hannibal. Hopefully Netflix or Amazon Prime gets it. Can't end it with S3, they've made it this far! We need all 5/6 seasons! :argh:
