Comedy It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - Part 2

I hope it's a bit. He's been dedicated to bits before, like when he gained a lot of weight intentionally to play Mac out of shape and then lost it again.
That’s exactly what I was thinking about in regards to “okay, maybe he’s just punking us.” It just seems awfully convenient to make that kind of decision only a couple weeks before the season premieres.

It’s much easier for me to believe it’s a publicity stunt of some sort than to think a man in his late forties suddenly got tired of people fumbling around with his name and thought it was time to make a change.

And gotta say, I don't think this is a spoiler- while I don't watch Abbott, there's something very magical about hearing characters on an ABC show swear unfiltered when they're on FXX.
And Quinta certainly made me gasp with that one line. :astonish:

At this rate, it won't be long before The Lawyer is at Cricket's level.

Always nice to see him back, but the man had to do absolutely nothing and he would have walked away with a win!

I didn't even realize it's been so long since we've seen The Lawyer.

These first 3 eps have been just ok for me. Had higher hopes after last season, but so far it doesn't feel as strong.

God, McElhenney’s name change looks so stupid. Praying that this is just a prolonged bit.

Nevertheless, they popped off with these two episodes.
He had to hide the Irish so he can work in Hollywood. :o

I have to know the story with the peppers, because there has to be some behind the scenes reason for them to be the focal point of an entire episode.

I guess this was their Succession episode.
Following up a semi-Succession parody right after a semi-The Bear parody in the last episode was weird.

Didn't really care much for this episode. Felt kinda like filler.

I liked the new episode this week. While I wouldn't call it an all-timer by any means, it felt like classic Sunny.

The way those seven episodes could’ve easily been it, leaving nothing but a vague memory for a good half dozen of us… but instead, they roped in Danny DeVito and are still at it 20 years later.

I caught up and started watching shortly before season five premiered but if you had told me then that the show would still be going in 2025 I'd have never believed you. As it is now I don't think we're too far from the end since the guys have shown signs of fatigue with the show and DeVito is getting up there. I think they're going to try to make 20 seasons their goal.

I forgot all about Lady Sif ever being on Always Sunny.

Absolutely incredible and tearjerker of a tribute to the great Lynne Marie Stewart in tonight's finale. Crazy to think that this season has already come and gone.

Also, it's the first episode without a title card, as far as I know.

I loved the episode but that tribute at the end to Lynne Marie Stewart got me all emotional, especially since I just watched the Pee Wee documentary this past weekend which she was all over. :csad:

Just caught up on the season. One or two duds, but Overage Drinking and the finale in particular were great. Dee blurting out “Barf on that thang” and immediately dry heaving got a good laugh out of me.

Also, yeah, that tribute for Lynne Marie Stewart was lovely.
