Age of Extinction Its Official Transformers 3 set for 2011!

Yeah I can definitely see Thor and Captain America getting moved back. Especially as they belong to Paramount the same studio thats in charge of the TF franchise.

It would suck though as I'm sure those two movies will be better than TF3.

I wonder why Bay isn't taking his break. Maybe he just wants to get this franchise out of his way and get it over with?

Don't think he plans on stopping at 3. Especially with all the loads of money this series brings in for him.

He keeps saying he'll take a break but this series has become like crack to Bay. He just can't get off it.

There were probably a few zeroes added to his paycheck.

If anything they need to release this and POTC 4 in 2012 and the other scheduled movies keep their release dates. Cap, Thor, and GL haven't even been on the big screen yet.

Earle,

Transformers has potential if you have a 400 million dollar budget. I keep saying this but a real live action transformers film is pretty impossible if the bots are the stars the human are truly secondary.

Just too expensive. Not excuse Bay for what happened in Revenge of the Fallen but I can understand why he has to pick and choose his spots when it comes to fully utilizing the bots in the films.

And the Star Trek script would've been better had they just come up with a natural way for the characters to get together. I mean, did Spock really have to program the Kobayoshi Maru during the time when Kirk was the first to beat? Did Kirk really have to end up on the same planet where Old Spock and Scotty just happen to be at?

Again, it's a much, much better film than it should've been. But, there are just way too many parts where the coming together of the characters was too coincidental for my liking. The Dark Knight didn't nearly have as much as you're saying.
I didnt have a problem with the coincidences. The part where old Spock saves Kirk from that red Cloverfield like monster was awesome!
"Hey Kirk"
"WTF are you?"
"I am your best friend."
Gave me goosebumps all over.
What bugged me most was old Spock giving spoilers to Kirk and his younger self.
"Hey Kirk, you and me are great friends in your future."
"Hey Kirk, hey, hire this guy, i am telling you he is the ****!"
"Hey Scotty, you will invent this in the future! **** it, let me give you some spoilers and tell you exactly what you will invent."
"Hey younger me, stop being a *****ebag."

It really annoyed me, you know? They should have left the characters find their way alone and not have Spock telling them what to do.
That's not the only ones. There's Spider-Man 4, POTC 4, Kung Fu Panda 2, and Cars 2. While the last two aren't much of a threat, the former two are.
Are SM4 and POTC 4 confirmed? Awesome!

Because he probably did have a summer break. How long does he need? A few years?

how can tehy even top the action from the second movie? how can you make Pirme more badass? you cant.
maybe if the have an interesting villain

An interesting villain could make Prime more bad-ass, and judging from that fact that Bay has needed convincing to come back for TF2 and 3, I dont think he will do more than 3.

There were probably a few zeroes added to his paycheck.
He already works for millions, so no ones going to add any zeros. His % of the box office and toys sale will most likely get an extra number or two.

GI JOE & TRANSFORMERS Crossover movie! :)

Is it too soon to ***** and moan about there being "less humans, more robots"?

I just hope the twins don't return and third times a charm hopefully when it comes to keeping the damn camera still during the fights. I could still tell what was going on but it would have been nice to not have so much shake to it.

Honestly, the premise for this third film is easy. Everyone knows what they're going to attempt to do. ILM must be licking their chops to at least attempt it.

In the first film, you have Megatron searching for the Allspark to threaten humanity.
In the second film, the Fallen and Megatron threaten humanity with the sun harvester.
In this last film, what really can threaten humanity in an even bigger way, darker way, than the previous films?

Unicron.

Everyone just needs to accept this notion. It's going to happen. The questions are, how do you get Sam and Mikela integrated into a story about a planet-size Transformer and who is the Autobot that makes the ultimate sacrifice to save not only humanity but Sam or Mikela?

My money is on Bumblebee. I just don't see them killing Prime again unless its at the very end in the process of protecting Sam.

Write it down. Someone major has to die.

Galvatron, separate from Megatron, could work too, as long as he's stronger and more powerful than Megatron and is the Herald to Unicron(The threat that hangs over the entire third story).

I say kill of Mikela in a horribly brutal fashion. Which includes her clothes being ripped off.

Not excited at all. This time I won't be there on opening day and wait till I see some decent reviews. 2011 and Bay writing the script? There's only going to be more senseless action and ******ed human characters and Transformers.

What's the mythology around Primus and Unicron? Does that have potential for a third story too?

He's probably still having a lot of input. The only way they could restore my faith in this, is if they bring Spielberg back.

Yea the first Transformers was tolerable/decent because Spielberg was there to over see it.

With the second one it was just Bay without a leash. Which resulted in one of the most excruciatingly annoying movies I've ever seen. It was like a ADHD suffering teenage boys wet dream. Says a lot about Bay's psyche.

Nathan,

I'm willing to bet a million dollars that the 'Berg is going to be more hands on with this last film than he was with Revenge of the Fallen.

I think the complaints by parents over the content in certain parts of Revenge of the Fallen guarantees that.

Still enjoy the film but Bay went off the rails like he did with Bad Boys 2. Difference? Bad Boys 2 wasn't geared towards kids.

I wish I could be that confident, but it could very well be that they are just going to listen to the numbers. Why fix what isn't broken? I pray I'm wrong though. Spielberg needs to put Bay in his place.
