He is about to kiss it. Then Michael Bay will run by and steal it.

what always made me laugh about star trek was that even a lot of the posters had lense flares. i always thought that was mildy rediculous. I really really really like that movie though.

Like mentioned earlier, I hope the creature is a good guy, but looks as scary as Cloverfield or something. Would be a nice contrast.
this could work.

are there any examples where kids are having a realationship with a good ugly monster?

ET on one side looked ugly but on the other cute.

It will probably be some sort of zombie based on how original Abrams is and the kids in this film are already going to be filming one.

i dont understand why the cloverfield monster gets so much hate.

i think a lot here will be angry because JJ and Dylan Cole are always thining outside teh box. we got used to a specific designe for aliens. and they are trying to get out of the comfort zone.

Dark, Chas was being sarcastic.

Yeah, I noticed that today in school when I was going through the forums. My sarcasm has been off lately...especially with some posts on here and other sites.:o

I was being sarcastic Dark! I still love you.

Yeah, my bad.:csad:

*montage of apology then Dark Victory and Chaseter running through meadows*

I got worried about this being too kid friendly per JJ and my bumhole got pillaged. So beware if you complain about lens flare for you too will be pillaged.

I remember giving my two cents about a scene in TDK -- in a casual way, nothing too over the top -- in the Batman forums around its release date. I still don't go that often.:o

We should invite him to the Spider-Man boards. Now THAT'S sarcasm. :awesome:

Hahaha, I remember someone compared the Spider-Man boards to Thunderdome once. Not too off.:awesome:

Haha, I remember watching a video on how they created the lens flares for Star Trek. Some guy showed up to work every day with bags of flashlights.:oldrazz:

Thunderdome? Yeah, that's a pretty spot on comparison. :lmao:

There's another video of Abrams shaking the cameras on ST like he's playing with himself.

But **** it, it's Abrams. The man can break into my house and rob me of all my ideas and dreams, and I would be fine with it.

Well, it isn't a kid but I guess you could make a case for Frankenstein and the blind guy.

Judging by the trailers this creature is not good. It appears to have a act for destroying buildings and killing/eating humans. As seen in the super bowl trailer when you see a market employee get pulled away from a store shelf. You could argue that it's a scene from the kids zombie movie but I doubt it. In fact I think this movie will do bad if come to find out the creature is a good guy. Seeing as how it's being passed off in the trailers as the Cloverfield type of monster. As for the kids and the Monster teaming up. I would only like this in the case that the monster is tricking the kids or that it wants to leave earth and the kids want him to leave also for the sake of earth.

With that Quasimodo doll in one of the quick montages, I think it's vice versa.

It didn't have FRIKIN LAZOR beams like Godzilla.:oldrazz:

i think it wouldnt be a Spielberg type movie if the kids are just running away from the monster :awesome:

it could also be that there is a good alien and the parents and friends from the alien are on Earth to save him and destroying the soldiers . hehehe maybe its not even an alien but just a monster.

i am just happy that the focus is on young kids on an adventure. i know that 90% will bash teh acting. but this is how kids act in movies.

Agree, your theory on the parents maybe coming to earth and doing all the damage is a good thought. But unless we get a plot related trailer for this film I can't make heads or tails of what kind of creature we are dealing with.

i posted this without pics yesterday. i guess on SHH noone clicks on links hehehe ;)

This is what my friend wrote and I kind of agree, I think Abrams is going to hold the look of the creature close to his chest for a lot longer.

So could this be the creature? Well nothing is for certain. This could very well just be part of the kid's home made movie, though it's a stretch he could make something like that. It could also be a complete red herring. Abrams knows people are dying to get a glimpse of what this alien is going to look like and considering how long we waited to see what the Cloverfield monster would be like, I doubt that he would reveal this one so easily. Abrams has stated before that he thinks it's best to show as little as possible in the trailer so that movie-goers will have more to look forward too, even if we did have to do a little work to get the image, it seems like showing the creature now would go against his belief.

I totally did. Just too lazy to reply at the time. :(

There is no monster....

Just Lens Flare. Like you've never seen it before.

We live in a strange time of films. Nowadays, people wanna know what something looks like, rather than the plot of the movie. :p

Ugh. I'm seriously thinking of unsubscribing and going into information lockdown regarding this movie. I would love to go into it without knowing everything for a change.
