J.J. Abrams' Super 8

Good teaser, consider me hooked. I'm guessing Super 8 refers to the camera used by the characters in the film?

I am intrigued. Loved that trailer. And they haven't even started filming yet? With Abrams and Spielberg attached to a film about Area 51, I'm already on board.

So is Abrams really directing?

Also a blink from the trailer.

The audience seemed pretty interested when they saw Spielberg's and Abrams' names, but there was a WTF response overall at the end of the trailer.

I got to watch it after about 5 other trailers . A very cool Inception trailer and a shorter trailer for Expendables that looked epic. When Super 8 came on I loved it because it was a small and simple teaser(although there was mostly a wtf reaction to this at my theater as well) . It's a better alternative to showing the whole film . I'm hoping the creature is some science experiment gone horribly wrong .

So it's not a Cloverfield prequel/sequel?

:( I wanted to see what happened to the monster after New York. Or see how the monster came to being or whatever.

Looks like it has nothing to do with Cloverfield.

Meh was pretty much my reaction to the trailer. Not impressed at all. There was a big train crash a truck rides head on into a train and I'm like, why?

You have to watch to find out, hence why it's a teaser, to make you question stuff. And seeing the film to answer them.

We're getting an original J.J. Abrams written and directed film produced by Steven Spielberg and people would prefer a Cloverfield sequel? Gah! I'm glad you guys don't run Hollywood.

Cloverfield wasn't even directed by J.J, so I don't know why people want him to direct the sequel.

No, he didn't direct Cloverfield, his life friend Matt Reeves did.

But J.J Abrams directing the Cloverfield sequel? Yeah, I have no problem with that.

Yea i mean, there is more story to tell with Cloverfield.

The way i imagine it was the first film is the first appearance, filmed by civilians.

The second would of been the worlds reaction to it. Maybe more of a disaster movie style. Like, not handheld cameras.

I would of been all in favor for that Ace, not a huge fan of the sequel taking place at the same time as the first but being filmed by a handheld by the military.
