They show part of the monster there, in the scene where the power company guy is checking some trees on his truck crane and he's grabed/pulled by it, you can hear it growling and see his arm. Its black or dark grey

^^ One of my favorite TV spots so far! I must say, I'm getting a Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind type of feel from this movie. That's a VERY posititve thing.

It's more than likely going to be a PG-13 fantasy sci-fi thing, but they're marketing it to those who may think it's just for kids.

oh yes it does, to me this film is a Spielberg film, a film that the vast majority will enjoy. whether its Raiders or ET, it has that old school Hollywood feel. Which to me is its own genre.

That looks a lot like an action f figure the main character has in his room in one of the trailers, plus it looks like a plastic toy.

Damn I was watching one of the new spots and I noticed the monster is also in the background in the shot of the guy inside the gas station when the window blows up the monster is clearly there it must be like 9 feet tall and has long limbs, and is definitely black or charcoal grey.
