Well you haven't seen a Bond like that in quite a while and probably never in the theatre.
It was special within the context of Bond, but not really within the context of movies.

Agreed, after seeing it I thought of the Bourne movies, but I like this one even more than those.

Sorry, I gotta go w/ V. Brilliant, cultured, tragic, and fights a suit of armor to The Count of Monte Cristo. God, I love him! :D Love Bourne, too, tho. Would've voted for him, had he been on the list.

I hope no one mistakes my unenthusiasm for dislike of the movie, but I was expecting it to revolutionize spy films. Instead it just went with the trend. Doesn't mean I didn't like it.

Movies that revolutionize a certian genre don't come along very often, especially now a days with all the re-makes.

I know. But in my pre-Royale stupor, I thought the movie was going to change my life. :csad:

They did just make a bond movie though, the formula didn't really change, I suppose I wasn't expecting it to, cause I really dig the bond movies, and they did just what I wanted it too. Take the formula of the Connery moives, add the action and expensive production of the Bronson movies, and let Craig find his own voice as bond. I felt all three where accomplished, but hey, we went into the movie looking for it to be different things

Well I thought Captain Jack was quite poor this time round, no character advancement, a very cheap piece of work indeed. 007 had good moments, but they didn't write FOR Craig, which would have been better. WOlverine was ruined in the poor follow up of the x-men franchise, but V, V was a great character, whilst his meeting of Natalie Portman's character was a little annoying, throughout he remined intense, enigmatic and very entertaining. Easy choice.

Jack Sparrow was in bad form in POTC2... Robert Langdon plain out sucked and Wolverine had the bad fortune of being in a s#!te movie. So I'd have to go with Bond and V. Supes was good too, but not as good as those two.

James Bond and V. They were the two best-realized characters this year, with two fantastic performances from Daniel Craig and Hugo Weaving, respectively.

Superman was good, just not awe-inspiring, Jack Sparrow just wasn't as much fun the second time around, Robert Langdon was nothing more than a barely-defined character with crappy dialogue and an awful haircut, and Wolverine was too tame to be as cool as he had previously been.
