He and Jackman should've got nods for Prisoners really.

You are correct good sir. Bradley Cooper didn't have jack **** on Gyllenhaal's performance.

Sorry for the double post. Just saw this on IMP.

That poster is wonderful. So was the trailer. I am going to TIFF. This will be one of my priority films to see there.

This looks like Drive, Network, and American Psycho rolled into one. And I ****ing love it all.

I'm excited to see this. It looks like a great movie. And it's very reminiscent of David Cronenberg's Crash.

Jake Gyllenhaal, what an actor. Can't wait to see this one.

He'd be great for Dr Strange. I hope Marvel has at least looked at him.

Has a Taxi Driver/Network mashup vibe which isn't a bad thing.

Can't wait to see this. Jake G is stepping up his game big time.

Edit. Song was : Jetta - 'I'd Love to Change the World' in case anyone was wondering.

Yeah really getting a Drive vibe from this. Im not gonna see it in theaters but I'll be checking it out

Oh, yeah. The Taxi Driver influence is pretty apparent even in the posters. I'm looking forward to seeing this again.

This movie looks pretty good and since I am an aspiring media professional this kind of stuff really interests me. BTW since some are comparing this to Drive, am I the only one that disliked that movie?

I didnt dislike Drive but it is nowhere near as good as people make it out to be.

"Best action film" my ass...

But this does remind me of Drive or Collateral the way they are about nighttime LA. Really dark, gritty crime filled looks at LA at night

I love Drive, but I certainly wouldn't call it an ''action film'' and I've never heard anyone say it was either.

I consider it a thriller not an action movie.

But I remember critics calling it an action movie. Refn even called it a superhero movie allegory which I just thought was idiotic.

But even looking at it as a thriller which I did on my 2nd viewing I still wasnt overly impressed with it

I saw the trailer for this last week with The Equalizer and it took me by surprise. I was expecting a much drier and sombre type of movie, where as this looks like a love letter to American Psycho, in fact had I not known it was set up to date I'd have thought it was set in the 80's with the brashness and OTT style.

I don't get the comparisons to Drive at all, I mean it's not the only film set at night in LA and that is all these 2 have in common to my eyes. Drive is full of mumbled lines and long periods with nothing being said as it plays everything hoping for artsy value. This looks like an intense and disturbing thrill ride, full of energy from it's leading man.

I saw this about a month ago and I'll say I think this is nothing like drive. Drive was sort of a character study on a sociopath that didn't care about people until a girl made him want to do something good for her, he didn't talk and did only what he felt like he had to do. Nightcrawler is about a character how talks alot, thinks he's the smartest man in the room and thinks everyone else is beneath him and he can do no wrong. The only similarity between the two is the look of the movies and and neither man has any kind of moral compass but these are two very different movies.

I'd say it's more in line with a stylized taxi driver than Drive.

It's more Taxi Driver meets Michael Mann and American Psycho.

And if you guys didn't like Drive, then you'll probably like this. You may think it's the movie Drive should have been more like. Bloom is just as interesting as The Driver, and as much as I thought Drive was great, I may have preferred this.

I know I might be overhyping this movie. :o

I was so disappointed when I found he wasn't actually playing Kurt Vagner. That would've been great!

they are promoting the f*** out of this movie. I have seen like 6 commercials today.

This encourages me because...........................I.......didn't like Drive.

*ducks for cover*

I tried to like Drive but for me personally, I hate watching movies where the main protagonist, i.e. the character your following barely says a word and doesn't emote. It gave me nothing to latch onto and just made everything so slow and frustrating. That's just my personal taste though.
