James Bond: 007 - Spectre

Yeah, but he is not going to make a new one every two years. It only happened with QoS. Craig's best films have been tied to longer production cycles. As with Spectre, I think it is more reasonable to expect a 3-4 year turnaround. That seems to be the norm these days with big blockbuster franchises.

I think Daniel Craig, after this one, has one more in him, taking him up to around 50 I guess. He is in fine condition and looks still very interested in the films so who knows what his limit will be, certainly following the financial pay back of Skyfall, they'll want him to stay on for a good while yet.

By the way Daniel Craig looked great at the conference. He looked fresh-faced and this time his hair isn't overly short like last time.

To be fair I think Craig's workout for Skyfall required some weight loss so he can looked a little worn and gaunt.

Here his face looks fuller and more youthful.

 I said the same thing earlier in the thread. I am glad that someone agrees with me. Here's hoping that they approach his suits the same way as his hair and go for a more reasonable, flattering cut than last time as well. That is what I am most anxious to see once they start filming. I trust Mendes and company to make a great Bond film with a strong story, characters, action, and performances, especially now that I know they are tackling Spectre and Blofeld, but after Skyfall, I worry about their ability to dress Bond appropriately in business wear. Casual clothes were great last time, but the hyper-trendy Skyfall skinny suits looked silly on a 40 year old gentleman.

Chester how far up your own a$$ are you?

Too far up; but me being me I can afford to be. Dont hate, buddy. We're all friends here. I just happen to be in the know with this film and i've kindly shared details with y'all.

Let me stick my neck out and say that, if you have information, we don't need it.

Clearly you do, regwec. All the speculation I've seen for the most part has been embarrassing but entertaining; like the vile one swearing blindly that quantum will never see the light if day again; I put a stop to that immediately. Everything you're discussing now, it was I who gave it to you and the conference didn't contradict any of my input. However, if you guys want me to shut it, i'll do so but i'll say this, no one here has mentioned the artist who's actually doing the theme.

After this one will Mendes return? It took a lot to bring him back the second time around, he felt like he had told all he could already, i take it that getting Blofeld and Spectre may have been one of the reasons why his interest increased.

Would be cool to have Nolan, but he seems to have a different direction of his oun in mind, which most likely doesn't include following on from previous story arcs like Quantum and Spectre, which is being introduced now. If he ever Directs one, i have a feeling that they'll wait till Craig is replaced.

"Spectre" is a pretty straightforward title, but this franchise has had a number of them.

At this point, I hope we've lost the whole "building back up to classic Bond" feel that's been prevalent in Craig's films. I'd like to see Craig play a "standard" Bond, not one who is too inexperienced or too banged up. Since this is bringing back the most iconic Bond adversary, lets see Craig play a modern version of Classic Bond.

Also, I hope the next one is his last. I hope he dosen't try to match or pass Moore's record, especially if this "3-4 Years between Bond movies" thing becomes the status quo.

DB10 looks cool, but I wouldn't be surprised if its used in the same underwhelming manner as CR and QOS. Bond really needs a new iconic car.

Also, it would be incredibly stupid not to have Quantum factor into this movie. This isn't the old days of serialized storytelling. People want payoff, and the Quantum angle needs to be dealt with.

If Christian Bale is ever Bond, than expect Nolan to direct him, otherwise, Inception is Nolan's unofficial Bond film.

He also needs a car that lasts longer than a few scenes and we get a proper chase in it....

Very excited! Bring on the classic Bond villains in a new era!

It was I and I alone and yes, I have a contact on the inside.

In Bond's mind, he's never too banged up. :oldrazz:

Wasn't there some rumour that there would be a car chase in Rome in a Fiat Punto or something like that? I hope if there is one, it's Bond driving that car. It could be similar to the Citroen 2CV that he was forced to drive in FYEO.

Sorry, which bit ?

In that, if Bale is ever cast as Bond, that's when I would expect Nolan to be asked to direct a Bond film.

Inception was a Bond film in all but name and character is what I'm saying in regard to Nolan's approach to directing a Bond style film.

I want to see Craig's Bond get into a memorable car chase with a cool car before I see him get into a car chase with a basic one, lol.

Yes, and an enemy car ends up 'in the drink'.

I hope the DB10 has some gadgets in it. Even just machine guns, missiles and grounded equipment like that. Also, I remember reading a rumour which said
Bond goes mountain climbing in the snow and there's a brief flashback to his parents deaths.
Not sure how much truth is in that, however.
