That's the only thing you will be complaining about. By the way I liked this gun barrel for Skyfall.

I tried very hard to [place] it at the beginning, my intention was always to do that," he said. "If you see the film, the film starts with Bond walking down a corridor towards camera and lifting a gun.
"The gunbarrel is him walking, stopping and lifting a gun. When I put the two together it looked ridiculous - shoot the gun already! We tried and couldn't make it work.
Oh, it's still not at the beginning? Well, I'm kind of glad to know that now, because I did have a bit of trouble accepting the placement of it at the end of Quantum of Solace but it made sense thematically in that context. Reading that comment from Mendes, sure, it would have been weird to have the gun barrel immediately followed by a similar shot of Bond walking down a corridor and then turning and firing a gun.
It was a solid Bond flick, but the last act was a bit ridiculous. Why take M to a completely isolated place where they are outgunned and outmatched (yes, even if the armory had been stocked, Bond would've been the only one who could put up a real fight against Silva's numerous henchmen)
After coming out of the theater, I thought that maybe M should have died during the committee meeting after reciting that poem with Bond getting there just a split-second too late and the third act would've been him going on the offensive for revenge - but not in an uncontrollable brawler fashion like before, have him utilize his experience and skills to also do some spying.
how about less whining about a bloody gun barrel segment and more on how the movie itself was?...
There are reviews and comments on the quality of the movie going back pages. The handful of posts discussing the gun barrel is hardly troublesome.
The gun barrel is to bond what the star wars logo and fanfare is to star wars. I wouldnt want that changed in star wars so i can sympathize with my fellow Bond fans.
A new M for every film would be disorientating and unwelcome. Actors shouldn't commit to the Bond series unless they want to do more than one film (I'm obviously not including villains or Bond-girls in that statement)
