DC Television James Gunn's Suicide Squad Spinoff ‘Peacemaker’ Starring John Cena on HBO Max

Actually...they were probably hoping it would.

I'm still sure James Gunn held himself from revealing the meaning of the dance to Fortnite developers for sh*ts and giggles.

Situation is kinda funny tbh.

I dont think that was one of the things Gunn had control over.
That strikes me like such a typical WB fumble where they wanted the Dance in because for Memes, but didnt expect that once the reveal hits, that it would make waves.

Is he or is he not half the head of a studio? Even if he weren't, he is online enough to know what would happen. A simple note to marketing that the dance probably should not be used beyond the opening sequence is possible.

But he isnt the Head of WB as a whole, so there are quite a few people above him.
Im not sure, is he a gamer, did he promote Peacemaker for Fortnite and all that?
Is there any indication that he knew about them adding the Dance to Fortnite?

Its either way looks like a incredible oversight considering the big reveal that the season was building towards.
You would think between giving the greenlight for the dance to be made a emote in Fortnite, the animating of it, to the releasing it...someone at the Company would have bought up what the big reveal of this season of Peacemaker would be.

Again I think you guys are too easily dismissing that WB wanted the controversy.

Finally caught up on the episode, was glad to see Vigilante get some good screen time, feels like he has been missing a lot this season. And yes some people figured out the twist of this world early on so it wasn't a shock. Great cameo and will be interesting to see what happens next episode.

You should study basic dbag corporate policy...

PT Barnum would be proud.

There is being controversial. And then there is an international company running afoul of various other nations' laws against promotion of nazi imagery.

Yeah it felt like they didn’t know what to do with Vigilante this season until now. The animal facts stuff was funny for a moment but after a while it got stale. But watching him hang with his other self was so much fun. It will be interesting to see how involved he is in the resistance. I’m hoping Flag Jr. is too.

Yeah it felt like Vigilante had been minimised when he was a standout last season, glad he got some focus here and he killed it.

I'd forgot about Flag Jr. There are 2 Harcourts now as well so that could be an interesting interaction.

Yeah I’ve seen speculation that the reason Flag acted so weird toward Chris is because they are actually in a relationship, or secretly working together as part of the resistance. Either way, I hope we get more interactions between the two of them given all the guilt Chris feel’s over his death. It will be cool to see if he’s able to somehow redeem himself for that.

Then again, if this Flag is just a Nazi then Chris can just kill him too lol

Flag at least is attracted to her and I think something may have been going on between them, but I didn't think about the resistance part that's a good point. Shame we only have 2 episodes left as I have really enjoyed this season.

Who is in a relationship or part of the resistance...Chris and Flagg? Nah. Flagg might be in the resistance but Harcourt definitely is not and there is zero chance Chris was.

I dunno I've seen a lot of people speculate the same thing. Wouldn't be surprised if they reveal the Chris and Flagg used to be a thing in this universe.

The idea that the CEO of a company like DC is personally responsible for approving a dance emote in Fortnite is low-key hilarious to me. That's just not how things work 99% of the time.

Probably some failure of communication, though. I guess the person who approved the emote didn't know it was alluding to Nazism.

Has it really been confirmed that the swastika was the inspiration behind this dance move though (as a mockery I assume of course) or is it just a random internet correlation?

Its possible but he seemed into Harcourt not Chris. Would be a cool twist though.

Yeah I’m not sure I’d the Flagg/Chris speculation is anything at all or it could have just been people reading into things but I guess we’ll see.

Regardless, I just really want to see Chris and Flagg have to work together so Chris can work through some of his guilt.

I'm caught up with the episodes, and now there are two Vigilantes.
