Why don't they develop a robot that SWAT teams and other police can use for high risk warrant services instead? Imagine a little Johnny 5 type thing that sprays tear gas into rooms to choke criminals out

How will it benefit the world? Dunno
Will it cure AIDS? Well, you can't get AIDS from having sex with it.
Does it kill terrorists? I'm sure they can work it into the program. infiltration Unit.
Will it cure poverty and strife? Well, less babies will result, and the Infiltration/ Assassination Models will quell any strife.
