Gotta say though, the suit would be perfect if they made the upper part/torso more gold. It already resembles the original aesthetic a bit here

The Aquaman poster is the best the suit has looked so far, it's already far more color than I expected. I applaud all the orange/gold. And I love what I'm seeing of the teaser, it looks like he is being given a power level worthy of being Justice League. However...

I've never been a fan of Aquaman, and I don't think Jason Mamoa of all actors is gonna change that. AquaMamoa is the biggest departure of any of the DCEU JL characters to its comic counterpart, to the point it's almost a different character completely. If you have to change that much about the character to get it to appeal to regular people, it's no longer that character anymore IMO. Frat boy blonde Aquaman or viking Aquaman, I don't see either one here.

I could be wrong about the creative direction, I could just have a problem with Jason Mamoa... though I have loved him in other media. Who knows.

Nothing against Jason Momoa, but, this must be the worst casting i ever seen.
No, i didn't just wake, i've been saying this since day one.

This is basically a way to ride the success of Game of Thrones.
It makes me think when people wanted Nicholas Brendon to play Peter Parker, back in the days, due to Buffy.


Aquaman is known to be blonde, case close.
People will say that i'm being anal about...but, i'm really not.
Physical aspect is a very important thing and should only be changed with a great reason.

Just as an example.
When the teaser came out, a few months ago, my mother watched it and the first thing she asked me was "who is that guy?", when i said it was Aquaman, her follow up was "isn't he blonde?".
My mother doesn't care for comics...at all.

I've always been an Aquaman to a certain extent, but the more I see of Momoa, the more my fandom for the character increases.

I wish his top was reverse in the gold to green ratio. I mean mera has all green on too, why not make his more gold.

How about split the difference: make the green greener, so you don't need to squint to tell its green. . . but reduce the total area of green so there's more of a balance between the green and the gold? Like, 2/3rds gold to 1/3rd green.
