BvS Jesse Eisenberg IS Lex Luthor - Part 1

I do like the idea that Lex is a self-made man, but... they might not even explore that. Going by the movies, what do we really know about any of these character's backgrounds besides Clark?
 
After thinking about it, I don't know why this is being hated by any one.

Is it because he is young? Skinny? It cant be because he is a bad actor or because he has been in bad movies, because that is not the case. If this was later into his career I think this would be met with a different response. I honestly think he might just kill it. IMO WB has never made a BAD casting with its villains in recent years besides the Hector casting in Green Lantern movie but even then Mark Strong as Sinestro was almost spot on.

I love Affleck as Batman, sceptical of Gadot (though ill wait and see), and love this.

Very interesting casting IMO

it was based on the character but they played up the drug addict angle of him...but the name 'House' is similar to Holmes...Homes...and his first apartment had the same apt number as Sherlock...as the show went on the similarities grew farther apart.

Oh Heaven's yes, the Sherlock Holmes parallels are all of the place:
1. Brillaint but egocentric and anti-social geniuses with drug problems (Cocaine for Holmes, Vicodin for House).
2. The sidekick best friend (Watson for Holmes and Wilson for House).
3. The brilliance at deducing things from even the most minor of clues.
4. House's apartment is 221B Baker Street (Holmes's address in the books).
5. References to Dr. Joseph Bell (the real life inspiration for Holmes) and Irene Adler.
6. etc.

It's because Jessie Eisenberg doesn't come to mind when it comes to most people's vision of Lex as seen in:

i think Eisenberg is way too young. i always imagined a Lex in his 30s/40s.

but i think he can pull it off. just as long as he is bald

Their method of making seemingly impossible conclusions about people based on quick but thorough observations are also incredibly similar, their anti-social behavior, they both were musically inclined, they both had a "normal" best friend who was a ladies man ect.

So yeah, House took a lot from the Holmes character.
 
I don't have a problem with Lex Luthor not being bald really.

Could always happen down the line.

Exactly, Lex is supposed to be the ultimate self-made man, I hate the "inheritance" route, takes away from his genius in a lot of ways if you ask me.

I'm all for changes as long as they are better than what is, if not, then **** no I don't want them and things should be the way they are.

Jesse is 30 right now, and he'll be 32/33 by the time that the movie comes out, so you're getting your wish.

I don't like the casting of Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor because I don't like the direction that Snyder and Goyer have for this iconic villain. For the record, I have supported the decision to cast Heath Ledger as Joker in TDK, and Ben Affleck as Batman (you can look up my posts in the Hype forum).

I had no problem with a young Lex Luthor...back in Smallville. But for the movie, I think it is imperative that they cast someone who is middle-aged and intelligent (at least appears to be), a veteran actor who can hold his own against Superman and Batman on the big screen. I hope they can prove me wrong once the movie comes out, but until then I'll be against this casting choice, and I felt that there are many other actors who are more worthy to play Lex Luthor in Batman vs Superman.

I thought the father son dynamic of the first 5 seasons gave that show it's heart.
 
If they go the inheritance route, I hope they make is so Lex was conniving in having his family off-ed and to surprise the general public in elevating LexCorp's status and inventions.
