No matter how much either guys have or have not done on screen I think BOTH are so very early into their careers that definitive statements about how much range they have is putting the cart before the horse in many ways.
This!!!

The thing about the Oscars is that it's not an award for your work overall it's an award for how you performed in that particular year. You don't only have to be good to win but you have to be better than everybody else that year. Cavill, despite a solid body of work, hasn't been lucky enough to be in that position. He's a great actor; his role in the Tudors proved that.

Plus Oscars is all politics anyway.

Cavill was very good in Tudors no doubting that but you can't just dismiss Eisenberg's performance in The Social Network he was a stand out hence why getting nominated for awards season.

The guy is a proper actor. I'm more worried about Gal Gadot than him.

I never even imagined Joker having the sort of accent and line delivery that Ledger did. It was both energetic and scenery chewing but not at all like the way the character was built up in my mind, and yet it worked. I hope Jessie has some angle to use to his advantage.

I was watching him in 30 Minutes or Less last night, and I do think he's an awesome actor. He's great to watch.

But you can surely forgive some of us when we wanted an actor that would mimic Rosenbaum or even Clancy Brown's STAS Lex?
That's what we all wanted and thought we would be getting. I SERIOUSLY doubt Jesse will be anything like that. But still, I'm looking forward to his own spin.

But, just saying, to my mind Michael's Luthor, his voice, and in many way even the performance itself, was not a thing like Clancy's outside of a manipulative, ruthless and intelligent character... Which is Lex. But the performances are distinct.

jesse is the actor i am most looking forward to he is gonna be the type of lex who feels he is the smartest man in the room and will let you know it

He looks like a lame Bond henchman with that hair. :o

Knowing Maooz's Bond obsession... Yes, he does.

That was pretty good.

Seeing that picture I hope a part of Lex's story is in fact the fall of billionaire, genius tycoon Lex and the rise of Lex Luthor, THE GREATEST CRIMINAL MIND OF OUR TIME. Who else but that could be the arch-nemesis of the greatest, most powerful superhero of all time? Lex wants to break the world and remake it in his own image and dominate the entire human race. The biggest obstacle to his vision is no less than a titan in human form from another world.

Too late. :o

No but seriously, I doubt he could touch Rosenbaum's Luthor.

I quite enjoyed Rosenbaum's Lex, and I think it's the closest we've gotten to the iconic Lex Luthor in live action, but you're stretching here. Hard.

How so?

He IS the best Lex Luthor we've had so far. We have no idea what Eisenberg is going to come out like. In my mind, just himself, but bald :o
