This hair thing is beyond ridiculous at this point. :funny:

Out of curiosity, has Lex ever been scared or intimidated by the likes of the Joker in the comics?

I've always thought that Luthor is not necessarily scared of Joker but more worried that Joker might go too overboard whenever they team up.

Wow... Getting a look at Jesse with the short hair, and his general facial configuration, his current build that we can tell from pics... This is actually looking pretty good to me. The lack of the out of control fro' really does add some aged gravitas to his face and cuts down on his boyishness by a lot.

I really hope that Jesse's Lex, while being a true loner, does also have a coterie of tech and science savvy sycophants that work for him at Lexcorp. I would like to see that Lex had "fans" and "followers" of his own before Superman showed up.

but will still include him, because to not do so is just as dangerous (Infinite Crisis #7 lol)

One of the coolest moments in recent DC comics.

Thing is, I feel sorry for Alexander and Superboy-Prime. Them making such a change in personality is understandable but still felt forced :( but what's done is done....and we all know that Alexander Jr. is coming back soon (thanks to the currently pregnant SuperWoman lol)

^^ Hmm I think Alexander Luthor could be Terry Sloan of Earth 2 but was revealed it came from a different world.. :hmm

Jessie Eisenberg talk to Variety.

You just wrapped playing Lex Luthor in “Batman v Superman.” Is your head still shaved?

I can’t say anything about this stuff. They want all this to be a surprise.

Do you think you’ll play Lex again in a “Superman” sequel?

I would love to. It’s a great group and director, and the most ideal character to play.

Were you a fan of “Superman” growing up?

No.

You weren’t?

I never minded him.

Did you watch the movies at all?

Oh, just to understand the context of this one. But no, not as a child.

There is enormous potential with Eisenberg's Luthor. Let's hope they capitalize on it.

I really think that if Jesse as Lex sucks, it won't be on him. He's a very engaging screen presence and a really good actor to my eyes. If Lex is bad in BVS it'll be because Terrio and Snyder just whiffed it this time out. Jesse will give Snyder what he wants for Lex... Question is, will we as the audience respond to it the way they want or suppose we will?

Eisenberg will easily be the most menacing Luthor simply because past actors have gotten a silly version of Lex.

He always comes across as very thoughtful with his choices. I have enjoyed him in films, and with this film I'm most looking forward to seeing what he does and how deep it goes. It has the chance to be incredible.

I agree with this.

I think this guy will send a chill down your spine as Lex with how menacing and evil he will be. If that doesn't happen I'll be shocked

Eh...l still love Hackman as Lex and find any dude who would nuke both Hackensack, NJ and the San Andreas fault and destroy California all to accumulate massive wealth and influence, and doing it with a jaunty smile all the while has ice water in his veins and is worthy of being considered a very good version of "the Da Vinci of crime", the "greatest criminal mind of our time" and the on
Y man on the planet with the gonads to take on the savior Titan from another world... YMMV as always, of course.

My only hope is we don't get a high-octane, fast-talking character that has become pretty much synonymous with Eisenberg's career. Unfortunately, set reports indicated that we may be getting just that (if those reports are to be believed, of course).

I think a performance in a similar vein to Giancarlo Esposito's Gus Fring would be splendid. Methodical and calculated.

I think he can be a quick talking gas bag and still deliver on who and what Lex is. I think of the scenes in the ALLL STAR both the comic and the DTV where Lex just dissembles a mile a minute with both his niece and Clark Kent, and the Planet staff... Lex is a bit of a blow hard.

Anyone else read this as Lex Luthor? :oldrazz:

Method acting the which even Sir Daniel Day Lewis would be proud of.
