I'd say it's a tie between Dumb & Dumber and Me, Myself & Irene. (A criminally underrated movie)

How about you?

The Truman Show. One of my favorite movies and well ahead of its time. It sure called the Reality TV era. He should have won the Oscar for it.

Liar, Liar; watch it as a double-feature with Martin & Tomlin's All Of Me.

Comedy: Dumb and Dumber

Drama: The Majestic

I love Jim Carrey.

The Truman Show is his best film and probably my favorite. It's actually one of my favorite films of all time, and I agree with the poster above that Carrey was absolutely robbed of an Oscar for his performance.

Eternal Sunshine would be a fairly close second in terms of quality (and another amazing performance from Carrey), but I have several Jim Carrey films that I would consider to be "favorites" regardless of quality -- including Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, The Mask, Liar Liar, and Dumb and Dumber (of course).

Hot Take: I also think The Cable Guy is underrated.

I saw The Truman Show as a kid, but found it to be a bit boring. Now as an adult, I'm interested in seeing it again. Maybe I'll appreciate it more.

I agree on The Cable Guy. Not Jim Carrey's best, but definitely didn't deserve the hate it got.

Best movie....The Truman Show

Best Performance ..... Man on the Moon

Maybe not a typical Jim Carrey comedy, but Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I'm desperate for a Truman Show Steelbook. It's my favourite film in general.

That Carrey didn't even get nominated for an Oscar for The Truman Show and Man on the Moon is a gigantic snub.

I'm pretty sure it is because people were expecting another light laugh a minute comedy like Ace Ventura and Dumb and Dumber and didn't get it.

Obviously it's The Number 23.

Just kidding. For drama, probably The Truman Show. The Majestic and Man on the Moon are also really good. Eternal Sunshine is overrated as hell, but he was good in it.

For comedy, probably the first Ace Ventura and The Mask. I also love The Cable Guy because it's just so dark and twisted.

Dumb and Dumber and Cable Guy

Cable Guy is one of the most underrated comedies ever.

The whole sequence in Medieval Times in Cable Guy is one of the greatest movie moments ever.

Probably Dumb and Dumber.

Incidentally, I thought he was easily the best thing in Kick-Ass 2 (although that wasn't hard). I will also admit to having enjoyed Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events.
