JL Rumored Cast: Who Would You Recast?

technically true brody never came out and said he was the flash, and porter only said he lost out on the role to brody. Only common and gale have come out officially and said they were indeed in the film but that was after the delay in jan which means no one is under contract anymore and can be replaced if wb or miller chooses so. And who knows who will still remainin in the film if it does start filming in a few months and also counts on if miller doesnt stay with the film if it does move to canada. REally as i said before all i want to see recast is cotrona and hammer both are wrong for supes and bats for various reasons.

yes she probably would have been great for a ww years ago and could work still. But how old is she now in 40s right i believe. And they want younger people.

Hammer is too tall, and Cotrona is too short. Well flip them around have Super be played by Hammer and Batman be played by Cotrona. I read some Superman/Batman comics and sometimes Supes is taller than bats. When Cotrona gets in the boots, I'm sure they'll boost his height alittle. They can make boots that prop him uo to at least 6'0 feet without them looking like frankenstein platform shoes. It depends on the soles of the shoes or boots. I'm 5'9, I but on shoes I'm 5'11. I boot on boots I'm 6'0.

I'm sure they can make combat boots to prop DJ up. But if they need to be replaced then they have to be replaced. That's the problem with casting a younger cast for these types of movies. Common is good, Gale I can tolerate now, Brody is good, but I agree Hammer and Cotrona are a problem. Waiting for Bale and Routh would've saved trouble, but if they want to go ahead with the movie fine. I'm sure they can somehow use movie magic to make the cast work.

Again if they need to recast:

Superman: Henry Cavill

Batman: David Boreanaz

Now something that gets me is Aquaman. I know he's rumored to be played by Santiago Cabrera. I think that is a major casting mistake. I'd Ryan Mcpartlin or even Michale Fassbender as Aquaman.

Traditionally, in ALL the comics, Superman is always taller than Batman. Superman is usually 6' 4' and Batman is usually 6' 2'.

Henry Cavill....hmmm. How old is he? He reminds me of Hayden Cristensen in that pic....

And if it were me I'd cast Boreanaz as GL/Hal Jordan, but only with an older cast. If Brody is in fact playing Barry Allen/Flash then I'd cast someone closer in age to him as Gl/Jordan.

But Common, IMO is perfect for Stewart and Hal's getting a solo GL series so I don't mind that Stewart's the GL in JLA, especially when Common is so much like him in appearance and attitude. Reminds me of the JLU John....

Exactly. Common and Gale are the only "confirmed" ones. All we've heard on the rest of the real cast (which we know officially ZERO about) is that they've continued to work out and prepare for their parts.....

Yea and if that is true i do hope hammer and cotrona get recast with better suited actors. But we wont know for sure who will be in the film untill wb comes out officially if the film is staying in oz or moving to canada and if miller will stay or he is out. So we can hope and pray they do some recasting and get better guys in. Common, brody are fine to stay, and gale has the looks for the role and i can wait to judge her fairly but we need better people in for bats and supes and hopefully it will happen.

I think henry cavill is about 21 or maybe 24. I posted that pic because he superman like hair, but he does look like Lord Vader. A younger GL could work. I think Common will do good, but if it were Hal then josh Duhamel.

I also agree with az824 and Orin about the camera tricks.

Oh, OK. i get why you'd pick him now. But I wouldn't choose an actor for Superman based on his what color his hair is or how its combed, LOL! ANYONE can pull off the superman hair style, believe me, LOL. And coloring is even easier.

Ultimately, no offense, but I don't think he could play Superman. he reminds me of that anakin skywalker ***** waaaaay too much, I just don't think he has the look. And the fact that he reminds me of cristensen isn't really a positive thing...lol. t:

But i agree, Common is perfect for John. But if they were using Hal I'd want someone about the same age as Brody's Barry Allen, in the comics Hal and Barry were best friends and the same age, they had a lot in common (no pun intended) so naturally you want actors who can convey that.

Yeah, I hear you. Anakin as superman? No way in hell. I just picked Duhamel because of Transformers. For a same age Hal I don't know who could pull it off. There are people out there who can be casted, but I can't think of any right now. If WB went for an older cast I would just settle for Mike Trucco as Superman. Batman though, I can't cast him to save my life.

scott porter NEVER once said he was cast as flash. All he said was that he had auditioned for him and eventually lost the part.

u misread my post, i meant that he confirmed in an interview that he lost the part to adam brody. which is double confirmation of brody cast as flash

Jeeze. 100% of the people voted to get rid of D.J. Cotrona (I did too). ONE-HUNDRED PERCENT. You could make a poll asking whether Superman should wear his red and blue costume or be a bald head asian man dressed in a black mini-skirt with an uzi and still wouldn't get 100% of people to agree. I seriously hope this sends a clear message to the studio. (and get rid of Arm and Hammer while you're at it.)

well with the superman creators families now taking back the rights superman could end up being droped from the film if wb doesnt want to pay off the familes to use the character. But i still trying to find out with the families taking control of the rights what that now means for wb/dc and usage of character in comics/games/live action/animated/merch.

i picked dj wrong wrong wrong for the film, hammer a close second he could work if in suit all the time and they have a superman as tall as him but still wrong too and should be replaced.
