How does everyone feel about the White Martians, but being more in tone with the Comic, were maybe a portion of the Hyperclan gets introduced and the story flows closer to the comic than the DCAU??

I missed a few episodes. Were the White Martians on JLU?

The first arc of Justice League was technically the White Martians. They were kinda lame though. They weren't even really martians, but rather an alien species that conquered Mars long ago, then came to conquer Earth. And their designs were really lame.

And furthermore, introducing the Hyperclan at the same time as you introduce the Justice League is just too many colorful costumes to keep up with, even for me, an avid comic booker.

With some tweaks, the white martians could be really good. So what they're not martians? Americans aren't even Americans, but rather, a foreign race that conquered America a long time ago, then went to conquer Iraq. And our designs are EXTRA lame.

However, I think for a big ensemble cast like JLA, you need a single epic villain to focus all around hate... you need our Sauron, our Agent Smith, our Emporer/Vader, our main big bad, under whom all our other challenges can fall.

But the White Martians lack a single charismatic lead.

I think Despero is a character that can give the whole JLA a run for their money.

I think Darkseid can have the 4th world as a byline and flashback rather than his main plot and be a great foe to the League.

With the right other things going on, Vandal Savage would be a great villain, especially if he were the one to orchestrate the Injustice Gang, something which can be pretty corny and unbelievably hokey if not done right.

I think those four are your best bets... the JLA has tons of villains, and often borrows main villains from Superman and Batman's rogue's galleries, but I think those four have the most potential overall.

Despero would be the best choice but so would Darkseid. Keep movie Lex Luthor away unless he has a "evil" plot make the moon into a 5 star hotel and Supes can't let that happen.

Darkseid or the White Martians would be good.

i Didnt exactly mean the Hyperclan like the comic but have the White Martians (the Real White Martians) and have certain characters leading the White Martians , example-Protex, Zum, A-Mortal, could be the minds behind the Invasion, but they are not regular White Martians they are actually, genetically enhanced(similar to New World Order story), but these characters wouldnt look nothing like their Comic Book Counter Parts, infact they would Just look different from the rest of the White Martian Race.

I ain't really interested in seeing aliens from Mars or things of that such... not that I know the source material in and out... I think you need a realistic villain... some guy sort of like Bryan Cox's character in X2... some group of people or a person that threatens the whole world with a terroristic plot. Darkseid and other big DC villains should be counterparts in a broader scheme. Over loading the movie with guys like Darkseid teaming with 5 other DC villains just wouldn't sell IMO... It still has to remain plausible.

I forgot about Amazo... I honestly don't know if I'd want him as a main villain, since he's not his own manstermind, but he'd be plenty fun to show off the League's powers and Batman's weakness exploiting ability :)

I don't know if the villain has to be any more realistic than any of the Leaguers. You've got Uber vigilantes, Greco-roman mythology and some pretty intense sci-fi stuff. I don't think that Darkseid, in comparison, will be implausible... sure you don't want him to team up, but just 'Seid? Or Despero? Or whatever? No sweat...

I'm actually pretty much against Brainiac as a villain for the whole team because I think he works best with Superman alone, or centering on Superman while the JLA has some villains that have always been too big for any solo member...

I think the problem with these groups of villains, the thing that makes them so corny, all stems from the name. I mean, what kind of group in the entire world has a name with words like Evil or Doom or Injustice. I mean, I thought we were past the days when villains knew they were evil and did things for the sole purpose of being mean.

So i think if you have this group called the Legion of Doom or Society of Super-Villains or something, and have them together just to try to cause mayhem in general, it's gonna come off cheesy. The best way to do it is like JUSTICE. They band together for a specific reason, and they dont come up with some hokey name. They have motivations we can understand, as opposed to just wanting to steal a lot of money or really, really hating the heroes.

Honestly, I think the plot of JUSTICE would make for a rather good movie. The only thing is they'd have to heavily edit it to fit in the context of previous films. It takes place in a rather well-established DCU, whereas current DC film continuity has nothing outside of Batman and Superman solo flicks.

If the studio takes it on like they can only make one, if they're going for broke (which they'll have to do), then they should do Darkseid. He's got my vote.

Braniac seems like the best choice to me. Superman, most likely, will be like the wolverine of the movie and hog most the screen time anyways.

How about both? Brainiac and Darkseid? Like in the JLTAS Episode.

That would be awesome. I hope that happens.

It's the Justice League, why have Despero or Darkseid when you can have the Legion of Doom, but just not call them that.

Bizarro #1
Black Manta
Brainiac
Captain Cold
Cheetah
Giganta
Gorilla Grodd
Lex Luthor
The Riddler
The Scarecrow
Sinestro
Solomon Grundy
Toyman

If there are villians that haven't been introduced yet in the movie world, then either introduce them or replace them. Also throw in the JOKER. Am I the only person here that thinks JUSTICE is currently the best material to adapt into a JUSTICE LEAGUE movie?

White Martians for the 1st one, Lex merged with brainaic in the second one and Darkseid merged with brainaic in the third one with the entire army of apoklips coming to destroy earth.Do it just like JLU season 1, 2 and 3.

Katsuro...
I'm not particularly convinced that DC film continuity exists at all. I've certainly seen no hints that BB and SR aren't their own self contained universes. I think giving the Legion of Doom a new name and real motivation, as in JUSTICE, goes without saying. Why would I ask the Legion of Doom from the Superfriends series to be translated?

That said, Legion of Doom does sound omninous enough for what amount to superpowered terrorists to use, albeit, without the Hall of Injustice.

I also think that the number of introductions involved with a large group of supervillains is too large. You'd be introing 14 major characters instead of 8 (League + 1 villain) and that's just too much for a first movie where you're brining people into a new world anyway...

I think trying to copy an episode of TAS is a bad idea, simply for context reasons. I also thing JUSTICE would be a bad first movie for the league, since a lot of it relies on you having known these characters beforehand... its a good story, but it needs context and is NOT a fitting origin story.

White Martians make most sense to me, it's a global threat that makes it easy for J'onn to be introduced.

If theres a second and thrid

2: Injustice Gang (Luthor, Grodd, Sinestro, Joker, Cercie)

3:DARKSEID

I'd also have Luthor linking the 3 films together, having Darkseid promising him power and wealth and that bieng the reason he brings the Injustice Gang together

Am I the only person who thinks the White Martians are a bit light for a film villain? They're cool and all, and I like them when J'onn is involved, but as Justice League villains, I don't know that they'd be the best choice for film. They don't really have too much individual personality, or that much appropriate thematic relevance.

^Well then it will have to be like a WOTW type of movie which I would picture as a JL movie with the white martian to be.

I'm not too sure the White Martians are the way to go. They would do to show the league forming like in the cartoon maybe. That's the thing to consider. You have to bring all the heroes together. They have to encounter something that basically beats all of them individually and they team up to beat it. I would imagine they wouldn't be the JLA until the very end of the movie.

Thus, I would think the villain(s) should be really powerful with a horde of minions of some sort. The supervillain teams wouldn't work because there'd be too much work explaining each one and giving them all enough screen time. I'd probably start it with Darkseid. Have him send a few scouting parties to earth to let the heroes know what's in store. Have Superman take off into a boom tube or something to get his butt kicked by Darkseid and return to form the team. Then they all band together when Darkseid's army appears. This time, Superman (with the assistance from the JLA) kicks Darkseid's ass. That seems like a possibility for a movie (though I, too, would like to see Batman's weakness analyzing ability come into play).

For me though Darkseid is far too big to be in the first film. The White Martians are a big enough threat to form the league, leaving Darkseid to be faced by a more experienced JLA.
