JMS no longer Marvel exclusive

relax dude he didn't say anything about jumping to DC

good for him,as long as he stays on Thor,I'm happy

Awesome, maybe get some creator owned stuff.

JMS is a good writer, I don't know why everyone on the internet is going all "Oh noes!1111 Not DC@!11" He's not Bruce Jones, he's not Chuck Austen. Get over the whole Spider-Man thing, he had two bad arcs in an otherwise unheard of and excellent run on the title.

He's still writing Thor, which is all I care about. Enjoy the time off or doing whatever non-Marvel stuff you want to do, JMS. Maybe some more Babylon 5, perhaps? Eh? ;)

**** up Thor and I will hate you forever. :)

Exactely, and if you look at those arcs you didn't like remember that Joey Q had the mandate to run Pete into the ground to make OMD an easier pill and changed the Pete/Gwen kids thing to an absurd Norman/Gwen thing. And his characterizations are almost always spot on with actually giving depth and dimension to both main characters and supporting cast. Look at most of his ASM run, or the twelve, or squadron or thor right now. god you people make it sound like they're pulling bendis over to write Justice League or something.

Peter and Gwen having long-lost children would've been better than Gwen ****ing Norman, but only slightly. I very much doubt I would've enjoyed the story even without that change. Long-lost relatives are terrible plot devices 99.999% of the time.

Better than having your girl pity **** your worst enemy.

More like he had two GOOD arcs. The rest was asstastic.

Whatever Doc, go read your Sinestro Corps hardcover and don't forget the lotion and tissues.

You don't have an 8 year run on a title and only have two good arcs. Don't be ****ing ridiculous.

You know he's just gonna come back with, "I will. The Sinestro Corps was like 27 billion times better than anything JMS has ever written, ever, d-bag. :cmad:"

And I think it was closer to 6 or 7 years.

I would have been cool with it. Especially if gwen went to europe to have the kids away from pete (thereby absolving him of guilt) gave them up for adoption and Norman could have then swooped in and raised them (now with spider powers rather than even more goblins). Plenty of parallels with baby may to play off of, not to mention it would totally have been in norman's character to do it. It wouldn't be the greatest story ever written but it wouldn't be nearly so craptacular a mischaracterization as what we got.

June 2001 is when he started his run. So yeah.

That still makes Gwen seem pretty shady. Peter's not exactly the type to willingly be a deadbeat dad, so by not telling him she'd basically be kidnapping his children and withholding them from him.

Mature. As always.

And I apologize for not liking a writer. I'll try to refrain from having my own opinions from now on. How dare I not like something the mindless masses with 2 brain cells adored?

Oh wait, they didn't. People have been complaining about how awful ASM was for a loooong time. But hell, I'll eat up that crap for you real good!

I agree with this wholeheartedly.

None of us expected this, but if you think about it, it's not surprising. He seemed rather annoyed with the OMD fiasco.

I'd love to see what he'd do on DC.

I've been complaining about how much Johns sucks for a long time, does that make it true?

Also, ASM not withstanding, what about Bullet Points? Supreme Power/Squadron Supreme? Silver Surfer: Requiem? The Twelve? THOR? All garbage right because ASM was teh suxxorz11!11 Right? Logic always wins.

I'd love to see him tackle the JSA and do an All Star Superman arc.

He'd be a great fit for JSA. Though I think he'd be better on regular Superman or Action Comics than All-Star Superman.

I see him writing a good superman, wonder woman, flash or doc fate.

I'd like to see him do other stuff. Maybe indie stuff. It's sad that it seems a foregone conclusion to so many of us that he'll automatically start working for DC because he's no longer exclusive with Marvel.
