Horror John Krasinski and Emily Blunt find A Quiet Place

‘Peter Rabbit 2’ Scores $900K Thursday, ‘In the Heights’ To Lead B.O. With $20M – Deadline

Also as of today, Paramount’s A Quiet Place Part II will become the first movie during the pandemic to cross $100M domestic — a milestone. The John Krasinski-directed sequel crossed the century mark in 14 days, becoming the fastest title to do so during the pandemic. We’re still waiting for Warner Bros/Legendary’s Godzilla vs. Kong to cross $100M; the last number recorded by the studio was last weekend’s running total at $99.1M.

Saw this tonight. I really enjoyed it. I was getting Eli and Joel vibes with Millicent Simmonds and Cillian Murphy.

Yeah I was getting Last of Us vibes big time with the sequel. Shame Krasinski inst involved in the show we are getting for TLOU.

How you gonna cast Djimon Hounsou for 5mins? Or cast Scoot McNairy for a 2min unspoken role?

Unfortunately I think both of them are used to playing thankless throwaway roles by now. Especially McNairy, but his role felt like more of a cameo anyway. I didn't even realize that was him until after the fact.

'A Quiet Place Part II' Will Soon Bring the Silent Horror Home on Digital, 4K Ultra HD, and Blu-ray

Hit horror sequel A Quiet Place Part II is on its way to home video, with the movie coming to digital tomorrow before hitting 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on July 27. Today marks exactly 45 days since the film hit theaters, meaning that it's now available to stream exclusively on Paramount+, but if you're not sold on the idea of shelling out for yet another monthly subscription, then the upcoming multimedia rollout is most welcome news.

This is good news for me, as the theatres haven’t opened up up where I’m at yet.

I was going to go the Theater to watch this but noticed its now on Paramount+ so................AQP2 was good, a nice sequel that flowed smoothly with the first one. Felt a little short and left me feeling incomplete though. I need a third one to wrap it up for everyone and this world for the time being.

I feel bad for the animals, most notably the dogs in this film franchise.

I enjoyed this a lot. Not as good as the first but for what it was, it was still damn good. This was more action than horror of the first which is ok. I was surprised that this wasn't Blunt's movie. But God, I loved the dynamic between Murphy and the daughter and their focus. Loved Emmet and his character arc. From the marketing I thought he was going to be shifty where you would distrust him but I much preferred this. Just a guy who lost faith in humanity and regains it through this girl. Had a western vibe too which I enjoyed. Even if it wasn't as good, maybe I preferred this slightly because it checked off those personal tastes I have.

I wish the ending showed more consequence to the final actions and extended for a few more minutes. It ended in a similar place like the last one.

I forgot how good of a director Krasinski is.

I don’t understand why as soon as they got to the island, they didn’t go straight to the radio station to transmit the noise right away. Even if they felt safe on the island, they know others out there aren’t.

Also completely unnecessary to kill Djimon’s character. That’s the only thing I hated about the movie.

Watched both of these again recently, and they are the best Alien movies since, well, Alien and Aliens. Dying to see what Krasinski directs next.

And in such a dumb, cliched way. Damn it, if I see ONE more horror film where the idiot heroes don’t shut a door all the way just so the monster can easily grab one of them…

Great news, love these movies and getting more of them is always welcome.

Love this series.
That 3rd installment is so far away now though :(.

I know there is that spin off, but still

I'm really hoping Cillian Murphy will be back. I'm expecting a time jump because I seriously doubt they'll be picking up the story immediately after Part II ended since the kids are now 6 years older than they were when they filmed it. I guessed as much when I last posted in this thread over three years ago but at the time I had thought that Part 3 would have been out by now.
