In other news. I FINALLY bought "The Dark Knight Returns" today. Now I can see what I've been missing out on all this time. :oldrazz:

Once I read it, I'll post my thoughts.

That's probably my favourite comicb....well, readable thing ever.

Gah, still haven't read "The Dark Knight Returns". Sorry folks. I also still have "The Laughing Fish" on the shelf, waiting for me to read it. I suck. :csad:

However, I've drawn a sketch of movie Joker, which I'm pretty happy with. May post it up later. :woot:

If I was you, I would have read TDKR and TLF on single day.:cwink:

Classic Joker

Awesome pic! That's from that truly frightening moment from "Mask of the Phantasm", isn't it? That scene alone is probably the scariest I've seen The Joker outside the comics.

i love teh depiction of Joker in that moive. When I think Joker, I think that/BTAS.

yeah this was very scary for little kids back in the days when this was realesed

i am happy that WB was back then not afraid to have a more dark cartoon of batman.

I belive it is from MOTP, hence I said "Classic Joker" pic. I love that look of the Joker.

Scariest Joker moments are in Return of the Joker the flashback

Right, gonna post this here, because its not good enough for Batman Sequel Art! :oldrazz:

Apologies first for the quality of the image - its a photo, as I don't have a scanner - and for the quality of the drawing itself. I'm no artist. It looks nothing like Heath Ledger. I didn't even try and make it look like him, as I knew I wouldn't be able to. But anyways, here it is:

Reminds me a wee bit of Tim Burton's sketches.

Can't believe I used the phrase ''a wee bit''

Hey, on my disclaimer at the start of the thread, I say that I won't be counting officially-released pictures as spoilers. :cwink:

LOL! But it's still a spoiler pic, and this is a non spoiler forum. What's the difference between officially released pics and leaked pics if they both contain spoilers?

Because if Warner Bros are willing to release the pic as publicity material, they obviously don't deem it as a "spoiler". Its something that could just as easily appear in a magazine article.

It is Joker with a knife to Rachel's face, and you think WB's stance is that it's not a spoiler? From that pic alone, you can decipher that Rachel is kidnapped or accosted, and possibly murdered or mutilated by the Joker.

I'm sorry, but that pic is a spoiler pic. Officially released or not. It's the same with trailers. They contain spoilers, and they're officially released, too.

It'd be different if it was just a pic of Joker doing nothing significant.

Key word being "possibly". We don't know what's going on. :cwink:

That's not the point and you know it. Joker accosts and threatens Rachel with a knife. That is an obvious fact and spoiler plot point.

There are so many stories you can attach to that one photo. A picture is worth a thousand words

dock ock i dont agree.
the spoiler section IMO is for some leaked spoilers. when someoene finds out about the end of the movie you should post it in hte spoiler section. the non-spoiler section should be for all official news. after all this is a forum. if WB realeses something IMO it should be talked here.

The description of this forum is "A spoiler-free discussion on the sequel." A spoiler is a spoiler. That pic there is a spoiler.

Don't shoot the messanger. I'm simply repeating what the purpose of this forum is.

One of my intended aims in opening this thread was to create a place in Non-Spoilers where we could have open discussion about The Joker. I made it quite clear in the beginning of the thread that pictures were allowed. I want to make this a more lenient environment, to encourage more people to post on here. From my first post:

Welcome Joker Fans!

With the pace picking up over on the Spoiler boards, here is a place to discuss The Joker in a Non-Spoilery environment! Now, since what specifically defines a "spoiler" is quite vague, here is the ground-rule I'm laying out from the get-go, so here it comes:

WARNING!

PEOPLE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO POST MAJOR PLOT DETAILS ABOUT THE JOKER ON THIS THREAD. IF YOU KNOW ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS WITH THE JOKER AT THE END OF THE FILM, DO NOT POST IT HERE.

HOWEVER...

PICTURES OF THE JOKER (OFFICIAL AND UNOFFICIAL) ARE WELCOME. AND CERTAIN SET-PIECES WE CAN ASSUME TAKE PLACE BASED ON SET PICS/REPORTS CAN BE SPECULATED ON.

Got it? Good.
