The Dark Knight Joker Scars: Accidental; self inflicted?

This time around I believe the twist is that the presence of Batman is what created the Joker. After all, you cannot have one without the other. So while Bats may not have physically created him a la chemical bath, etc. The very image of what Batman represents did instead. That's my take on it anyway.

That's incredibly smart of you, I like that waaaaaay more then a chemical bath explanation for batman "creating" his greatest enemy.

I was thinking more along the lines of a sad swan song for Joker as a flashback. You know, the kind of stuff that gets you all teary-eyed...

Well, they could have him maybe right before his terrorizing reign over Gothom for a brief point in the movie, dont know if they would want to put sympathy into the jokers character from the audience. just as much hate against him from the viewers from the flashback.

I like the idea of the Joker as kind of like the Cloverfield monster, where the whole movie he just tears through and you have no idea where her comes from or why he's doing the things he does

To me, the scarring looks too nasty to be the result of a clean cut.

Could not taking proper care of such a wound result in that kind of scarring?

There has now: His scars is realistic.

And I really really hope he did it himself!

That would be nice. But I'll never know, and if it's up to everyone to decide for themselves how he got the scars, I say he did it.

I agree. One side looks accidental, the other looks like he did it himself. I wonder if he gets off on that kind of stuff.

That's what i'm Hoping for! SO cool if that was the reason he did it! The other day my friend told me he was "too scary" but i was all, "How? you're into that kind of stuff anyways!!" but she said "yeah but hes joker and he shouldnt be scary!" and i was all like "Come on!"
