If Juggernaut ran at the Blob well he was standing still what would happen?

The Blob would eventually live up to his name.

As in a lifless Blob

Another overused topic would have to be created I'd imagine.

Not that its in continuity, but in the x-men novel trilogy Mutant Empire, this battle happens while juggs is fighting alongside x-men in the third book. This trilogy is really awesome, by Christopher Golden... should check it out if you haven't already.

Oh and Juggernaut won pretty easily.

Nah I haven't checked it out.

What happend in the fight?

Oh and that pic is hilarious.:D

I lost that website when I reformated my comp.

That pics what made me think of it.

Juggernaut would beat him. I always felt Juggernaut being unstoppable related more to his invulnerablity and therefore his ability to plow through things most others could not. In the case of Blob you have someone who affects the gravitation center of himself. I also believe Blob's powers are adaptive to the situation (i.e. if he is caught off guard it's different). Also Blob is not invulernable and you can affect his balance. For example DareDevil (and a telekenetic) beat him by dropping a bell on his head after DD blinded him (and got him drunk).

Magic also tends to override things like mutations from what I've noticed. I give it to Juggernaut simply because he is a magical being.

exactly. Juggernaut's ability to be unstoppable is magicly enforced and basicly literal.

Blobs ability to be unmoveable is physical, and I've always taken to be limited at some point. I don't really think Juggie would have a problem moving him, even if his strength wasn't magical

I'd imagine he could potentialy (The Blob) use the entire Earth's mass as a counter weight but I doubt even that could stop the Juggernaught

Most likely, based on how their powers work, The Juggernaut would move the Blob and tear up the ground beneath his feet.

according to wikipedia, both the Hulk and Strong Guy have moved blob

Or plow right through him and leave two large bloody feet still stuck to the ground. :D :o

Hulk has punched the Blob in the stomach and sent him crashing into a wall KO'ing him

Hulk has also, at least once, lifted the Blob and threw him away.

Yeah I'd say that Blob isn't truly immovable - just very hard to move.

I doubt he would have that problem either. Juggernaut is nigh invulerable (I say nigh because well Onslaught handed him his own ass...or...gem...and telepaths can hurt him). However Blob is only unmovable so long as he can concentrate and use his mutation (which is controlling his center of gravity). Catch him off guard or hit him hard enough, just like any other mutant their powers tend to shut off while they are unconscious or being harmed because they cannot concentrate hard enough to use them. Fred Dukes is not consistently unmovable like Juggernaut who is more or less consistently unstoppable (or at least maintains momentum). He is only so when he is using that ability.

I thought someone already would have given a half decent hypothesis by now.

The question is: What happens when an irresistable force meets an immovable object?

It was once said that the irresistable force (Juggernaut) would be redirected upon impact without any loss of forward momentum. Juggernaut would not be stopped by any means and the Blob would not be moved.

A good theory, but after reading All-Star Superman #3 today, the Ultrasphinx posed a question to Superman, given the correct answer he would spare Lois Lanes life.

When asked what happens when an irresistable force meets an immovable object, Superman simply replied "They surrender." I believe in this idea, and the wisdom of Grant Morrison. The unstoppable Juggernaut would be halted, and the immovable Blob would be knocked over.

Also, that picture with Wolverine is taken out of context. With both feet firmly planted on the ground, Wolverine doesn't stand a chance of moving the Blob. Logan more than likely coaxed the Blob into attacking him, and proceeded to do some judo to use the Blobs mass against him. The Blob doesn't need to concentrate to be immovable, it's like having to concentrate on keeping your balance on solid ground, he just does it.

Meh. In the end, one is a literal magical text, the other is himself saying that "nothing can move the Blob!" Some things can, it's just difficult.

lol Wolverine can move Blob.

Way to take that out of context!

Actually, he was already in the air when that happened. I believe Colossus threw him.

Well I wasn't being serious anyways. I didn't take it outta context though, somebody else said Wolverine picked him up in that pic.
