So it looks like the Blob is in the movie? What do you guys think of this? Maybe if they go near the orgins part they are replacing the cook in the story with Blob?

He's been part of the film for a very, very long time. This doesn't come as a shock that they would keep him until the end.

I found Jackson's ["we're also keeping more cameos of mutants"] more appealing.

That's what's appealing about this film. The fact that Gavin Hood is interested in having Deadpool and Gambit appear. (Come on, we all know they will appear.)

The Rundown (for those that don't know much about the guy):

Fred J. Dukes aka Blob

First Appearance in X-Men #3 (1964).
Height: 8 Ft.
Weight: 976 lbs.
Powers: Virtually immovable (as long as he remains in contact with the ground) and has superhuman resistance to injury.

Xavier found him at a carnival and tried to get him to join the X-Men. He turned him down and made off with the X-Men's true identities back to the carnival. He joined Magneto after that, but changed his mind after a torpedo almost killed him during a fight between Magneto's Brotherhood and the X-Men. He went back to the carnival again after that. Soon after he teamed up with Unus in an attack on the X-men that didn't work out. Unus died a while after. Mystique convinced Blob to join her version of The Brotherhood, but like usual the fatass split on her and only works for her occasionally. Funny guy ain't he?

I always wanted to see him, Pyro & Avalanche in a Brotherhood sPinoff. Should be fun!

Blob, Pyro and Avalanche???

Smells like the cartoon to me. And I LOVED the episodes where the three of them would team up. They were such morons!

crap i always hated the blod i always thought he had the stupidest mutant power ever.

"NO ONE MOVES THE BLOB!"

He'd better say that damn line.

I'm sure he will. He isn't The Blob without that line!

Now all we have to do is wait for who's cast as The Blob.

That should be fun.

Yeah and he oughtta say it with that funny ass 50s strong guy voice he had in the show.

So, how are Gas prices in Coruscant these days?

Or "Nothing moves the Blob!" from Pryde of X-Men. ;)

Anyways, Blob appearing in this would be alright. I've been expecting to see him in some sort X-Men flick or spinoff for some time now anyways. Personally, I thought perhaps the fat kid looking on with the other kids as Rouge healed herself by touching Wolverine in the first X-Men movie after Wolverine's accident was infact, the Blob. But that was only due to the fact that several mutants were shown as being young in that flick, and only getting quick cameos. Such as Pyro.

^ That pic reminds me of the fat guy attacking the Dude's car in, The Big Lebowski. :D

He should wear this outfit throughout the whole movie...

I'd bet more than anything his costume will be similar to the comic.

James Vanderbilt did rewrite some of the screenplay, I believe.

Who's the goddam Blod? Is that his brother? :hehe:

Bloddy internet people. They pimply can't smell plopperly.

Hmm. Blob seems pretty out of place here. Why would they put him in a Wolverine movie?

Weird. Blob has never really been a prominent villain for Wolverine. Sounds like an excuse to use the character after missing the boat in X3.

I could care less about The Blob, honestly.

I need my Gambit fix. There's no other chance for him in any other film.

That would be even more out of place. If anything, it should include characters that Wolverine actually has a past with like Deadpool or Cyber.

Deadpool is in the film, according to about every site that's credible.

Which is amazing. Because his potential is limitless.

I think we need to consider the possibility that a great deal of these mutants are gonna come together at the Japanese Prison Camp.

The entire camp might be comprised of mutants. Blob and Gambit might be some of them. We know for sure that Wolverine and Sabretooth are both prisoners at the camp.

We'll see Deadpool during the Weapon X parts.
