Juno was awesome...

Here's a weird story... Ellen Page related...

A week ago, I received this month's issue of Game Informer in the mail. I checked it out and got to a page where they previewed a new video game called Beyond - Two Souls. Its from the makers of Heavy Rain. Anyway, the main protagonist is a tomboyish girl with cool possession powers who I found hot as hell (yes its a game but looks realistic as hell).

A few days later, they gave Juno on TV. It was my first time watching it. I watched that and saw some similarity between Juno and Jodie, Beyond's main protagonist. I just chalked that up to coincidence.

So today, I look through the magazine again, and what do you know? Jodie was modeled after Ellen Page, and Ellen Page HERSELF was involved in the game doing some of the 'motion captures' for the cutscenes.

Beyond - Two Souls just became my most anticipated game 2nd only to Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes.

I really enjoyed Juno (is it already 5 yrs ago?..), and I think it was mostly due to Ellen Page who was very good. When it comes to the dialogue, I can understand that people hangs up on it.

Sometimes it was kinda borderline case even for me, Juno seemed a little bit too precocious at times for a kid of her age. But it wasn't too much over the top to ruin the film IMHO, and most of the times I liked the dialogue.

And of course J.K Simmons as her father was a nice bonus.

You've got to be kidding me :) wow... Is that real? I've heard of The Last Of Us but never gave it much thought, but yeah... I'll check out its gamefaqs board.

she's a sniper in the game or is she just carrying his gear for him? Is she involved in anyway or is Naughty Dog just using her likeness?

I'm in the camp that didn't really enjoy the dialogue. Also having an indie song every damn scene was pretty annoying and reeked of trying to feel like the new Garden State. The movie and performances weren't bad though, just not really to the level I was expecting given the Hype.

I love Juno, but I only saw it in theatres, this thread's a nice opportunity to check how it holds up.

thats a major part of the charm of juno - the dialogue and the quirkiness it wouldn't be juno without it

It just sounded like a 40 year old went to the mall and listened to the pseudo-intellectual kids (future hipsters) and wrote the dialouge from her ease-dropping.

Well, I saw it. Well, I still like it. And it was hipseter before hipsters were a thing or a term, at least in Greece. So yeah, nothing like Nap Dynamite, which should be banned from existence.
