Jurassic Park IV - Part 1

Plus they come to the mainland then the military kills them end of movie.

The first book, and the horrifying account of compys killing young children, etc - I dunno, I think that'd be an interesting way to go. It's different. The animals are, with no direct help from man, are escaping the island. The Rex was brought over for InGen's financial gain.. that's different.

But what does Universal want? A monster movie? Because that's what this will turn into. You can't catch the "wonder" and "amazement" with dinos anymore.

Well they kinda touched on that part of the first book at the beginning of the second movie with the little girl being attacked. I agree though copuld be an interesting way to go

Shred I still think taking dinos to main land will just get us a cheesy godzilla/jp 2 rip and not much of a film I want to see. Where a problem with dinos dying of mysterious caauses and some washing up to mainland. As I saaid brings a good logical reason for igen and others to go back to island. What's the point in bring dinos/dinos showing up on mainlaand really have to story. Besides protect the humans and kill the dinos. Where my idea would bring in a save the dinos, a mystery to unrival, and then corp stealing if the twist is as I said a once old rival sneaking onto island for experiments.
But the thing is, that's repeating the exact same thing they already did with the last films, going to the island and escape it was used in all 3 JP films, another company being responsible for the problems that are happening, that was done in the first film too. Going to the island to find the cure of a disease or something like that also reminds me of a film that i don't remember the name that had some people catching sharks or something like that to find the cure of a flu.

And as i said in all my posts it wouldn't be TRex on big cities, it would be some different dinossaurs begining to appear all around the world, expecially flying and aquatic ones, that didn't appear enough in the last 3 films, which is normal considering the fliers were locked most of the time and because the characters were on earth, so the aquatic dinossaurs barelly made an appearance in Jurassic Park III.

And it doesn't have to be a complete "Lets kill the Dinoosaurs" movie, like Terry78 said not every escaped dinossaur has to be carnivore or attacks people, this worldwide event could also show the consequences of bringuing the past to the present.

They're also planing Jurassic Park IV to be the first of a new Trilogy, Joe Johnston even said "It's not about the dinosaur park anymore", if they made it set in the park again and refused to go out of the island then 4, 5 and 6 would only be repeating the same thing over and over again, which in my opinion isn't interesting or original. And after the ending of Jurassic Park III not using this seems like a really bad move, imagine if the studio didn't want James Cameron to use more than one Xenomorph in the alien sequels because it would make them less scary, the franchise has to evolve and bring something new to the table.

Make it a post apocalyptic type of movie with the extinct plant species they also brought back growing out of control and taking over cities. Then the dinos just follow the food supply to mainland

Or we should just reboot and do much more faithful adaptions of the original novel and The Lost World where all the dinosaurs die in the end because of prions in the soil.

Agreed, do a direct adaptation of the novels.

In my opinion they should either make a sequel where there's a bigger focus on aerial and aquatic dinossaur that are spreading through the world, or make a complete reboot.

For the reboot they adapt the novels more directly, or they could try to do their oun thing by a Prequel/ reboot or this time make the dinossaurs escape when the park is already open and with people there.

Original Jurrasic Park is extremely well known and beloved movie. Reboot might be fail. Even though ending was different, most of the story is same.

At the end people loves dinosaurs and still would go that movie but even it would be great movie, it will be seen as unneccassary.

You can always throw a dumb idea like TV crew goes Isla Nublar for a documentary and bad things happen...

Haha, a reality show thing? I could see someone actually running with that.

One could almost argue Jurassic Park is now a B-movie franchise and could be made into something crazy like Dinosaurs versus Aliens or a zombie movie. What if a plane carrying US troops on a training mission goes down on these islands and the marines have to fight for their lives to escape alive, weapons and all.

As long as it doesnt involve a group of people going back in time by accident and fighting dinosaurs i will be happy.

Who said going to island would be needing to escape from it. They as I said be going to island to find out whaats wrong, cure the dinos, and leave on there own free will/means. Unless if they went with rival folks mucking with things the rival corp guys destroyed the island team chopper/jet/boaat. And then at end the tea, just highjacks the rival corp transport. For me I just don't want dinos in main land story. Cause with that it just be a shoot to kill all dinos monster film. And I don't just want that to be the whole point to the film.

Although I can see it going terribly wrong (the writing) ... the reality show angle... isn't terrible.

One of the things they do at Universal Studios Halloween events is to have haunted mazes with actors dressed up as half human/half dinosaur genetic hybrids. Perhaps some crazy scientist wants to do this in order to cure mankind of all of its diseases and is experimenting on the island? Or does it sound too Curt Connors like?

I like the idea of a TV reality show of some kind going to one of the islands in the beginning of the movie to get some dino footage but instead end up as food. That way you can get a mix of handheld footage and full camera footage to build suspense for this prologue of sorts. Imagine a teaser trailer with just handheld footage of a camera crew around a campfire telling jokes, dropping hints about the danger in the surrounding forest and being nonchalant about what they're looking for. Then there's a slow rumble in the distance that gets louder and everyone gets quiet..the cam pans around the dark and leaves are rustling while the rumble gets louder...the crew is frantically trying to grab weapons and torches then BAM something leaps out of the bushes towards the camera, knocking it down, screams are heard as dozens of dinos run past. For the money shot, cam shows T-Rex foot stomping down on the campfire and the famous roar...JURASSIC PARK:REBIRTH or JURASSIC PARK:LEGACY or whatever dumb title they can think of.

Someone else mentioned a military unit being stranded and i think that might be an interesting route to take. The last movie did end with the U.S.? military arriving on the island and it seems like most governments in the area would be aware of the islands. How about a unit gets mysteriously stranded while transporting a valuable prisoner and have to escape the island without most of their sophisticated weapons, resorting to bows & arrows, sticks and such, idk?

All I know is I agree with more aquatic & aerial dinosaurs ripping people in half and eating their faces off. That's what i expect my money to buy in any JP sequel.

Some ideas to throw out there:

A hotel on one of the islands opened by a developer
Military unit or film crew crash lands on the island
Hunting down dinosaurs that now live on the mainland in an effort to contain them
Containing a disease that has spread among the animals before it can reach the mainland
Saving the animals from being destroyed by the US military and the island razed or infected with disease
Animals and their eggs being smuggled off the island to be in zoos, circuses, etc.
Illegal safaris from the mainland to bring stupid tourists to an exotic attraction
Capturing the animals and making them fight for entertainment in an arena

The reality show thing is not as farfetched as I thought, as it does kind of fit into the entire concept of the series. Hammond would be all over that if he was still alive.

The thing is, you can't do Jurassic Park (the movie) again. By which I mean, the novelty of it. Everyone knows the concept, a dinosaur park by itself doesn't wow anyone anymore. It's been done (and well). You can't recapture that.

A reality TV show gone wrong, is actually an interesting modern take on it.

All are interesting ideas. However, Biosyn stowing away to Isla Sorna to steal eggs from the nests? Dinosaurs reaching the mainland? Those are my favorite ideas.

They did those already. I mean, you could incorporate them, sure, but it's nothing new.

Some of the dinossaurs i wanted to see more were the aquatic and flying ones, now that those are able to escape from the island and are spreading across the world i would like to see them trying to contain this global event, which would also allow more focus on these dinossaurs.

I'm always for Jurassic Park movie happens in island. When it's happen in city or even small town.. it doesn't feel like Jurassic Park but more like game. The magical think was island.

Main reason Spielberg didn't kill dinosaurs, audience would hate the idea. Cricton didn't like killing dinosaurs but he didn't think leaving dinosaurs can work as good ending. If there will be military, at least there must be good guy who protect. I don't think people would worry about military guys with a mission of killing dinosaurs. But that's too similar to Lostworld.

Most important thing, they might work harder on characterization. First movie had great characters, depth. Other movies had noone of it. They were just thrown there to react with dinosaurs.

Even small roles like Nedry & Muldoon was awesome.New movie should be about humans as much as dinosaurs. Only new character had some impact was Roland the hunter in rest of series.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Jurassic Park's time is over. JP3 proved this. Let's see a Cadillac and Dinosaurs movie instead.

Wow, Cadillac and Dinosaurs. How could I have forgotten all about that? Now that needs to get made!

Yeah as much as i loved the films ok i didnt like the 3rd that much but loved it because it was a jurassic park film and would love to see another successful one made, i think they should just leave it alone now.because I don't think they can make anything that will be anywhere near the quality of the first and not even as good as the second. They could probably make it better than the Third but that was just awful (even though i loved it).

Just leave it alone unless the writing is exception and stays within the contex of what Michael Crighton originally wrote. Don't go way out west with I dunno talking Dinosaurs or Dinosaur with Rockets Strapped to there backs.

Keep it as realistic as a film can be that includes Dinosaurs in the modern day
