Jurassic Park IV - Part 1

The tyrannosaurs were the villains for the first two movies with the Spinosaurus for the third. Raptors are involved in each one. Should that remain the same formula as before?

I can see some new feathered raptors carrying on the tradition, but a new main carnivore like Carnatorus which is named in the books, Allosaurus, Herrarosaurus, Gigantosaurus etc that are larger and meaner. Even a plesiosaur could be an alternate for a land based predator too.

I would say that the raptors were the main villains in the first movie (and book).

Raptorex! :awesome:

I could get down with the reality tv show angle. Its a fun story type to go with if they do it right. But other times I don't really like the movie in a movie thing. That is why I personally like my idea a bit more.

Halloween tried the reality TV thing I think

Yeah, and it was terrible. But maybe with Jurassic Park it would work, still that leaves a plot hole, what the hell happened to the dinossaurs that escaped in Jurassic Park III?

Those pteranadons have been flying for the past decade. And as far as we know, they are flying still.

Some interesting new dinos. As for the flying dinos at end of the film you could easily just say they came back to thee island. Or if they did make it anywhere might have been killed/died long ago. But if they did reality thing how would you want to include grant, salder, goldbum, or the kids grown up into the mix with a story like reality show on either island.

Isn't reality TV is a little bit much? Something like survivor series on such dangerous island?

How about that guy who had show about he can survive anyplace? Man vs Wild or Survivorman?

How can you really reinvent the concept of dinosaurs in modern day without it basically being a retread? The original story pretty much was THE concept.

Maybe they should create new characters.. or the kids grown up.

Both Sam Neill & Goldblum has been on island twice already. Cameoes of them would be fine if they use kids in first movie.

Both TLW & JP3 was on Site B & not the original Island

its going to be a documentary style film? Nice for a change. District 9 had a documentary style film about aliens and I loved that. This should be greta.

No people are just throwing out new idieas for type of film they want.

I liked dinosaurs better before they had feathers.

I'm actually really glad Jurassic Park was made in 1993 before any of these new theories took hold because their visual look will never be matched.

True, it's going to be something of a retread, but you can inject new ideas into it.

For the reality show idea, it doesn't have to be a film in a film. Though it would be cool to see a scene where they actually film a dinosaur coming after them.

Just have a bunch of producers, film crew, and contestants go to an island, and then everything goes wrong. So, the dinosaurs going on a rampage isn't part of the intended show.

Or hell, have the movie start after some contestants go missing. Then all hell breaks loose (though that may be too much like the original).

If i'm not wrong something like frog DNA were used to match dinosaur DNA in original Jurassic Park. That explains why T-Rex can't see if you don't move and Raptors don't have feathers. They should change old dinosaurs look just because new evidence.

There were raptors without feathers in JP3.. Probably only males have feathers or something. Without feathers they look much scary.

But the thing is, that's repeating the exact same thing they already did with the last films, going to the island and escape it was used in all 3 JP films, another company being responsible for the problems that are happening, that was done in the first film too. Going to the island to find the cure of a disease or something like that also reminds me of a film that i don't remember the name that had some people catching sharks or something like that to find the cure of a flu.

And as i said in all my posts it wouldn't be TRex on big cities, it would be some different dinossaurs begining to appear all around the world, expecially flying and aquatic ones, that didn't appear enough in the last 3 films, which is normal considering the fliers were locked most of the time and because the characters were on earth, so the aquatic dinossaurs barelly made an appearance in Jurassic Park III.

And it doesn't have to be a complete "Lets kill the Dinoosaurs" movie, like Terry78 said not every escaped dinossaur has to be carnivore or attacks people, this worldwide event could also show the consequences of bringuing the past to the present.

They're also planing Jurassic Park IV to be the first of a new Trilogy, Joe Johnston even said "It's not about the dinosaur park anymore", if they made it set in the park again and refused to go out of the island then 4, 5 and 6 would only be repeating the same thing over and over again, which in my opinion isn't interesting or original. And after the ending of Jurassic Park III not using this seems like a really bad move, imagine if the studio didn't want James Cameron to use more than one Xenomorph in the alien sequels because it would make them less scary, the franchise has to evolve and bring something new to the table.

I agree 100 percent !!!

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Jurassic Park's time is over. JP3 proved this. Let's see a Cadillac and Dinosaurs movie instead.

Cadillacs and Dinosaurs ? HELL YEAH ! Loved the comic, loved the toon.
