HOW DARE YOU GUYS FOR DISAGREEING WITH ME?
I'll give that Rex was a more intimidating and better villain than Ultron, and the finaly battle was less bloated than AoU. AoU's characters and directing I felt were better as the whole and that first action set piece to begin AoU was impressive.
I can't even remember any character's names in Jurassic World and AoU took risks with their characters while Jurassic World's character fumbled around being quite incompetent for a park with so many safety parameters to it. Chris Pratt was the best character, and the only one I liked. Bryce Dallas Howard's character just came off as incompetent even though the movie tries to spend the early part of the movie making her seem very poised and strong. Also, the kids I found to be useless addition to the movie (seriously, what's with that Divorce scene?), and that D'onofrio's character was so cookie-cutter he could have had a mustache and top hat to it. We knew nothing about the assistant before she died (I don't need her life-story but give us something if you're gonna kill her off in that manner).
There were worse movies this summer (Fantastic Four, Terminator Genysis, San Andreas, Tomorrowland), but Jurassic World just felt like a movie that if it was an original movie, would probably be trashed a lot more by people.
With that said, it's still better than Lost World and JP3.
