Just Got Absolute Edition

buying this

tell me what bonus material it has anyway it might get me to the comic shop sooner :hyper:

It has excrepts from Nite Owl 1's biography. And it has a bunch of concept art with essays from Moore and Gibbons

Its pretty ****in cool.

does anyone know where we can see scans of the recoloured pages?

is it much improvement?

I heard it is a big improvement. Maybe not so much if you haven't read it a lot though. The extra things like concept art,and authors notes are worth the cash for me.

Unfortunately it's skyrocketed since the trailer was released. Some auctions are ending at the $200+ mark. Many showing up still sealed too, which leads me to believe that whatever comic shops had these tucked away on the back shelf are now gone.

Looks like they are releasing a new hard covered version in November, but it appears to be only 436pgs compared to the Absolute's 464. I'm guessing the bonus materials are not included. Also not sure if it will be in the larger scale. The $30 price point compared to the initial MSRP of $75 for the Absolute would indicate that it is not.

$20 for Absolute Watchmen??? What condition was it in???

I've been trying to find a "cheap" one for sometime and all seem to be over $150.

I was hoping to pickup Watchmen - but I'm wondering if I should wait until after the movie is released?
Do you guys think the movie would be ruined in a way if I read the graphic novel first, or would it actually extend my appreciation for it. Of course, I know none of us have seen the movie yet, so it's hard to determine, but, from the point of view of anyone whose read the graphic novel - what is your opinion?

Thanks.

I say read it 1st, so you know what to expect STORY WISE

Yeah, I hear what you're saying. I've heard some crazy things about Watchmen that might be harder to digest through the silver screen than through Graphic Novel.

I'll hopefully pick up the GN soon then.
