I'm pretty sure that the script of the first X-Men movie went through many many rewrites. I just thought of the scene where Wolverine wakes up and is lurking around the mansion, and stumbles into Xavier teaching a class (it sounded like an Ethics class, but I'm not sure). Anyway, was there ever a draft where Wolverine is lurking around the school, and he wanders into...the Danger Room?

I think they may be.....there is certainly a scene where Xavier makes WOlverine his comicbook mask. And it did go through initial tests before it was abandoned. I'd love to see what they came up with anyway.

Yes, there was a scene planned for X2 where Wolverine wanders into the Danger Room just prior to the School raid. Although partially constructed, the Danger Room was cut due to budgetary constraints. Instead, this scene was replaced with the scenes of Wolverine wandering around the School at night.

At times I wish the scene had been allowed to stay in the movie and at other times I'm glad it was cut. I would prefer to see the X-Men in the Danger Room rather than just Wolverine. Then again, I would have preferred the Danger Room be introduced in a better way than what it was in The Last Stand.

Agreed. The danger room sequence was definitely not worth the wait. Rather than giving it an iconic standing in the story, or showing the students improving their teamwork maneuvers, it felt like the filmmakers were saying, "You want the danger room? Here it is! Happy?!" Lame.:cmad:

..the danger room is for training...they were training...unless you wanted to see the movie use the f**king AXM "Danger room comes alive and is evil" arc, what the f**k were you expecting them to use it for???

To put it more simply, it feels like it's over before it begins. Like everything in the movie.
