Speaking of Guillermo del Toro let’s just say he is working on a movie that has the potential to be the greatest movie ever committed to film. Or bytes. I hear that his next epic, PACIFIC RIM ( a Japanese Porno) is testing so well that Warner Brothers wants to offer him everything they have. Fortunately he passed on the feature version of V and the sequel to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but he does want to do his own version of the Avengers, just supernaturally. Called HEAVEN SENT he is combining all the magical beings from DC Comics in one epic adventure. Deadman, The Spectre, Swamp Thing, Constantine Hellblazer, Phantom Stranger, Zatanna, Zatara, and Sargon as well as Etrigan the Demon will team up to no doubt save us from the Stay Puft Marshmallow man. Now this one is a ways away, but Warner’s lawyers have been working every night trying to clear the rights to all these characters. I am excited. Imagine a giant inflatable Spectre floating over San Diego ComiCon like we had with the SKY CAPTAIN Robot? Or endless screenings of the film like with SCOTT PILGRIM? Or maybe a building converted into a giant ad like with COWBOYS AND ALIENS? HEAVEN SENT is certain to RULE ComicCon in 2020! Que Bueno!

So that's Constantine, Deadman, The Spectre, Zatanna, Swamp Thing, Phantom Stranger, and Etrigan in the same movie!

I love who's in it but I wish they would bring in Dr. Fate as well.

I'm intrigued. Interesting concept.

If this is true, and if it ever comes to pass, I'm very excited about this. I've long said that the supernatural corner of the DCU is one of its biggest assets, and a potentially great niche to explore in movie adaptations. But I never expected them all to show up in the one film!

It's a lot of new characters (new for film audiences, at least) to introduce and do justice in a single film. But Guillermo Del Toro is a great director, he can pull it off if anyone can. That's if he ends up doing the film. You could make an incredible filmography out of movies Del Toro has dropped out of.

If Zatanna, Zarara, Sargon, Constantine and Swamp Thing are all in the same movie, they HAVE to do the infamous "seance" scene from Alan Moore's Swamp Thing, where [BLACKOUT]Zatara bursts into flames and the rest have to carry on and still hold his hand so as not to break the circle.[/BLACKOUT]. I also hope some of these characters would go on to get solo films.

Not to be ridiculously ridiculous, but have the last scene be a reveal of Fate's helmet. Frickin' killer.

I hope this story turns out to be true!

Sounds too good to be true.

This is one of the greatest ideas for a movie I have ever seen. Jesus. Ive wanted Guillermo Del Toro to do a DC film for so long and he is so perfect for this. Can't wait to see his take on Etrigan, Swamp Thing, The Spectre and Deadman.

Finally DC is taking some risks I think this will definitely pay off. On the multiple websites where Ive seen people talking about this movie I havent seen one negative comment. They basically cant go wrong with this idea.

So glad Constantine is coming back. I wonder if Keanu will play him? I still love the first Constantine

I echo your enthusiasm. :awesome:

Nah, I liked Constantine, and I liked Keanu Reeves' performance in it, but that wasn't the John Constantine of the comics. Get a British actor to play the role. My vote goes to Paddy Considine.

Isn't Latino-Review notorious for posting things that aren't true? Or at least posting stories that give the most ridiculous rumors far more weight than they deserve (reminds me of comic book movie dot com) This sounds like one of those things.

No, they aren't.

LR rarely posts false information. The only time I can really remember them posting something that wasn't true was Josh Hutcherson being cast as Spidey, but in a way that was partially true as only negotiations fell apart.

Raven would be a good addition to the roster.

DUDE !!!!!! That is a BRILLIANT idea. He has to be apart of this in some capacity, Etrigan or Swamp Thing.

And Doug Jones as Deadman is a ****ing MUST

I've always thought they should make THE SPECTRE, include Dr. Fate and Etrigan in smaller roles that would expand in sequels, and use that to build a larger universe of "magic"/occult characters. This would be pretty cool any way you slice it.

Basically Justice League Dark the movie? I am so in.

Dear WB, Animal Man movie please?

Dr Fate and Animal Man would be perfect fits for this film

Etrigan has me the most excited probably. ESPECIALLY Guillermo Del Toro's Etrigan. I can't imagine a better visionary director on these characters.

I don't care if you're all just innocent bystanders, if this ends up being made-up, I'm going to start throwing punches THROUGH THE INTERNET! :cmad:
