Justice League is a GO for 2009!

It's found a director, who you will be hearing from VERY soon. Shooting is looking to begin spring 2008, and release summer 2009!

Very few details are known at this time other than Superman is the main character ala Wolverine with Wonder Woman in a Storm type supporting role. Batman is absent but is supposably mentioned.

I'll be back with more details later tonight, this stuff just went down yesterday afternoon!

I'd be mad if true. X-3 sucked and to have Superman and Wonder Woman be like Wolverine and Storm is terrible writing. And having no Batman at all is ridiculous. And this negates when, I forgot who confirmed it, the original 7 were being used.

i wouldnt count on anything this guys is saying folks. a JLA without Batman is inconceivable. we already have several articles confirming that Batman AND Superman are part of the JLA PLUS other League members as well.

no, one of the things you said was that Rachel was gonna kick the bucket, plus a whole bunch of other things. several of the regulars there proved you're faking it because you apparently had a fanscript a while back and you're using that to provide so called TDK spoilers. you also kept pointing out in your spoilers about Dent's part in the meeting with Gordon and Batman, heck everybody knows that-- its in the comics. what you didnt say is what the eyewitnesses recounted a few weeks later.

I know this guy is full of it... but I hope he's right... too soon for Batman to be in a JLA... I think this report is legit though... not b/c Deep Throat has gotten things right in the past... it just makes the most sense... Batman entering a JLA in the middle of his war with the Joker, Two Face, and mobsters makes no sense what so ever... and WB knows they can't convince Bale of signing on a JLA because they want to use the movie three option on a third Batman installment (Batman is their diamond in the rough)... they want to use a JLA as a spring board for the lesser character and are using Superman as a spring board... my only question is if this is true... will it be part one of an epic movie series with members coming and going from the team??? Or will it just be a spring board for spin offs? I think it will lead to spinoffs... this way they can do WW, Flash, and GL solos, maybe even a sequel to Singer's SR by 2010/2012, anywhere in between... and hopefully a World's Finest before a JLA involving Batman... I am liking what I hear but will keep the fingers crossed

What makes you think the JLA film would take place near the same time as TDK? The film would obviously be completely independent of that.

I seriously doubt that a Justice League movie will even happen until the 3rd Batman movie and 2nd Superman movie come out. Plenty of time for Warner Bros to develop a Wonder Woman, the Flash, Green Lantern movie if they're competent enough.

And well, Batman Begins and Superman Returns both did, and didn't make . . . huge bank. Superman especially.

I say there's no way a Justice League movie is done without Batman and Superman.

Also, 2009 is two years. No way the movie gets done that quickly.

as much as i would like a justice league I really dont think they could make it good with the batman franchise and superman going already. I mean would the get Christian Bale and Brandon Routh to be in it or would they start it with a whole new cast.

Also with Chris Nolan's take on Batman I dont even think superman is supposed to even exist

I could actually buy this - though again, half of me wants to believe DT for the sake on the idea "why lie about something like this?".

It would make sense to do a Justice League movie in 09 and not have Batman in it. Now hear me out:

Yes, I love Batman and I would want him in a Justice League movie eventually - but lets look at it like this:

Lets not treat this first Justice League movie as THE Justice League movie. Lets treat it as a transition. It comes out in 09 - the time the Superman Sequel would be expected to come out. Obviously this would mean WB has abandoned continuing solo Superman films and see's this Justice League idea as a way of continuing banking on the character, but adding in enough spice to revamp the franchise.

While I am sure WB is drooling over the idea of having Batman and Superman on the same screen - I don't see them willing to derail Batman Begins 3 for it.

So the solution is this: Do a Justice League film, build up the supporting cast around Superman and see how it goes. IF the film soars - then bring in Batman, after the Nolan trilogy is done. IF the film is a horrible camp fest - then perhaps you preserve him and try to do more Bat films, and try another Justice League film, at a lower budget, or abandon it all together.

Have Batman mentioned, have Batman being in the second Justice League movie heavily indicated, perhaps a slight cameo - but if they aim to have an 09 date, keep him out of the film.
