I've posted this a few times, but I really do love this idea.

I'll start with the cast for film one.

Superman/Clark Kent - Brandon Routh

The Story for film one is the formation of the League. IMO for the League to be required a huge global threat is needed. At first I toyed with using Darkseid, but I decided he required and deserved a bigger set up (and he gets one). I then came to the conclusion that the origin used for the first JLA cartoon was perfect. It allowed the intorduction of J'onn perfectly (I'm not sure the Manhunter can carry his own film, hence the need for his intorduction and origin in JLA). The White Martians are also a credible threat to earth that would require the DC Universe's biggest heroes to work together as well as alowing good action scenes (eg Superman flying through a Martain walker, Wonder Woman using her laso to toss a Martain soldier into several others). Luthor's role is key to the trillogy. I would use him as the vehicle for Darkseid to be introduced, in that Luthor is promised power if he can eliminate the League...whiche leads nicley to the second film

The plot of film 2 revolves around Luthor's attempt at removing the League (now established after the events of film one). A team of super-villains, listed above (As well as Merlyn and Psimon) are brought together to destroy the League. This would involve serveral key fights between the members of the league and their rival from the Secret Society (Batman vs Joker, Superman vs Metallo, Flash vs Zoom etc) The film would end with a battle between the League and the Society in the remains of the Watchtower and the unveiling of the power behind the events (to the audience, not the League) - DARKSEID

Darkseid - Wesley Snipes

Obviously the thrid film would be the big payoff in the trillogy. Darkseid's arival and first battle with the League. With the League initially defeated and New Apokolips created. The Leage then fight their way through the army of Paradeamons to face Darkseid in one final battle for the fate of the world

Minor Villains: The Shade, Star Sapphire, Solomon Grundy

The plot: The first film would be similar to the JL cartoon centering around the Alien invasion. Luthor and Wayne are business partners on Lexcorp's latest indeavor which is the colonization of Mars. Wayne is really trying to find Luthor's true intentions. Superman is suspicious of them both. (There is also a love triangle between Superman/Wayne/Lois Lane) Hawk Girl comes to the planet to warn them of the Aliens but she is captured by Luthor when her ship crashes on Themascara. Wonder Woman disobeys her mother by going off to rescue her. Lantern is also investigating Luthor's project and The Flash is there searching for a few fugitives (3 minor villains). While looking for Hawk Girl, WW runs into Batman, GL, and Superman who are also investigating. All 3 stumble upon J'onn J'onzz who has been captured and experimented on by Luthor. They take him and Luthor hires the 3 villains to retrieve him. The JL works together to defeat them just as J'onn wakes up. He tells them that his race was destroyed not by Luthor but by another alien race and that Earth is next. The aliens come and the JL works together to defeat them. Luthor weasels his way out of everything and gets off scott free. The JL is formed except for Batman who returns to Gotham and prefers to be alone and J'onn who returns to Mars to search for any survivers.

Plot: Part 2 will center around the Cadmus and the Luthor for president plots. One year later, Luthor has been laying low because of the success of the JL which consists of (Superman, WW, GL, Hawkgirl, and Flash). Kara Kent moves to Metropolis b/c she has transfered to Metropolis University. She wants to become a JL member but Clark refuses (she also has a relationship with Olsen). Luthor teams up with the Cadmus organization and plans to run for president. The biggest point of his platform is the dangers of the JL mentioning that their space station is threatening, they cause too much collaterol damage, and if they were to go rouge they'd be unstoppable. Cadmus develops a Superman clone (Bizarro) which they use to frame Superman of destroying the Lexcorp tower. People turn against the JL. Cadmus develops the Ultimen to defeat the JL. After a battle that leaves Superman in Cadmus' custody and nearly kills Flash, WW flees and goes to Gotham to get Batman's help. He refuses b/c he somewhat agrees with Luthor until Cadmus targets him b/c they find out he's Batman. He is saved by Green Arrow and Black Canary who have been spying on Cadmus threw The Question (who is captured as well). The remaining heroes (WW, Arrow, Canary, GL, Hawk Girl) battle the Ultimen. Batman goes to rescue Superman and is attacked by Bizarro. Supergirl comes to his rescue. Batman saves Superman and he and Supergirl kill Bizarro. Batman tracks down and stops Amanda Waller and Luthor who attempt to flee. The Flash recovers and Batman and Supergirl join the league. Arrow, Question, and Canary decide to return to their own city though.

Title: Justice League Unlimited

The final film will feature Darkseid and the JL trying to defeat him. J'onn J'onzz will return. Other cast additions: Aquaman, Vixen, The Joker, Zatanna or Huntress, Doomsday, and Red Tornado

Justice League...good ideas so far. I wonder, though, who should direct it? Maybe Bryan Singer because the movies he has directed with MASSES of people turned out excellent (X-Men and X2, for the biggest point). Superman was pretty good too. I feel that would be a good step foward, but, if not, if the first one follows the White Marsians, maybe either James Cammeron or Quentin Tarantino.

As a cameo at the VERY most. Waller makes no sense without Checkmate and that would require a lot of build up to do sucessfully.

^^ i was thinking more as a mystery woman that can be built up into Checkmate which the League can fight in the 2nd/ 3rd film.

also it will be a little too convoluted to get THE Checkmate history in the JL movie (i mean after all, this is about the Justice League isnt it?). perhaps the early start of Checkmate, they could make up their own characters for the movie. but what i'm after is Amanda Waller's presence. one of the best episodes JL/JLU have were those involving her.

I was thinking more of a questionable government liason in Amanda Waller... I see no reason why her name demands Checkmate anymore than having Superman demands we use the Daily Planet.

1st movie: Centuries ago, we're given a brief introduction of Vandal Savage and his history. He later grows to become the would be conqueror of Themyscira (which has just recently bcome involved with Martians who have supported them with technology). Vandal tries to seize their powerful weapon, but is stopped and hides decides to move on to other things for now. Modern time, Lex Luthor has recently been announced President of the US and Vandal Savage is Secretary of Defense. Meanwhile Clark has been having strange visions lately. He goes to have lunch with new friend Bruce Wayne (towards the end of their conversation, it is revealed to the audience that their secret identities are known between them do to a previous meeting which can be explained in a later "Batman VS Superman" flick).
Clark tells Bruce about the dreams, and as they get stronger, they go to investigate. Meanwhile, Ambassador Queen Hippolyta and her daughter Diana Prince of Themyscira are contemplating the US on whether or not they should become allies after it's existence has been revealed long ago. During this, clips of former police scientist Barry Allen (who is working in a lab designing a way to run at super high speeds after discovering the Speed Force) can be shown, as well as clips of fight pilot Hal Jordan (whom already has his ring but doesnt know exactly what to do with it).
Superman and Batman go to investigate the dreams and see that they are coming from the Martian J'onn J'onnz. They help him escape a government testing site and he tells them the story of Vandal Savage after discovering that the man wants to try and open war between Themyscira and the US to retreave the weapon.
Superman and J'onn (now in a different form) talk to president Luthor, who has already had a talking to with Vandal (the two are secretly already working together). The president starts war between the Amazon Island and begins rallying troops and he also drafts Superman, J'onn and Barry Allen joins the fight (now powered by the Speed Force...he designs his own costume to withstand the new speeds, as well as "fit in"). Joining them as well is fighter pilot Hal Jordan, with the power ring of course. Upon reaching Themyscira, they're attacked by scouts (one being Princess Diana).
Meanwhile, Batman is busy battling Vandal Savage who has begun breaking out a number of criminals from prison to help him as he double crosses Lex to seize the weapon for himself. the heroes on Themyscira are defeated and quickly return, with Diana following. They all apologize for the battle, and then they talk. Soon, Lex brands the heroes as traitors to the country and wanted men (and women, including Diana). After meeting up with Batman, they figure out they must band together to stop the war.
The Amazons declare war, and when Diana declines helping, she is branded a traitor as well and the heroes then begin to fight both sides as war finds its ways to the US (Hal dons a costume resembling that of Abin Sur, and Diana creates a costume out of the American flag to gain trust). Later on, she's mistakenly dubbed "Wonder Woman" by some little children she saves.
Vandal makes it to the island after, but Batman and Wonder Woman intervene, and are defeated as he finally takes control of the large doomsday weapon. As troops from both sides are defeated, Vandal enters the seen and powers up the missle, already devastating some cities. Finally, after Vandal is managed to be defeated, the weapon is destroyed in outer space by Hal Jordan after malfunctioning.
In the end, the heroes are awarded medals and Lex Luthor is impeached and Vandal is arressted. The Vice President then presents the new team to the world as the Justice League of America (sans Batman).

2nd movie: This movie revolves around the League's 2nd year since they've formed. Batman works closely with them, and together they are battling King Arthur Curry who is attacking a harbor. The League capture him and he is brought in for questioning after claiming to be an Atlantean. Later, Kator and Shayera Hol of Thanagarian arrive on Earth after the devastastion of their planet at the hands of Darkseid and his fleet. Darkseid eventually arrives, and the invasion begins. Throughout the movie, Lex Luthor can be shown working with Darkseid in exchange for power (he is then given his infamous purple and green armor by Darkseid). Also, Barry Allen's nephew Wally West will be shown, also trying to crack the Speed Force equation trying to be just like his uncle.
Aquaman joins the team, seeing that his kingdom will also fall under the rule of Darkseid if nothing is done. Hawkman eventually dies, leaving Hawkgirl to join the League in the end. Coast City will end up getting obliterated, causing Hal Jordan to go berserk and get into a fight with the League. Eventually he takes off into space after the defeat of Darkseid and forces himself into exile.

3rd: The film could open up with the League disposing of some villains(s) whom are attack nuclear plant or something. The battle could end with the death of Barry Allen, which would eventually lead up to Wally West trying to join the league, who is refused membership. Throughout the movie he will be trying to prove himself. Meanwhile, Kyle Rayner receives a power ring from a dying GL who has encountered the villain Parrallax, who is one his way towards the Earth. The League discover it is their friend Hal Jordan and decide to increase their forces by adding Kyle to the team to train, and finally Wally, as well as a number of other heroes (it could be a nuch of cameos, but not as bad as X3 handled theirs). Meanwhile, Lex Luthor could also be forming an Injustice Gang together.

I would do this sortof different than everyone else. It would take a look at things from a different point of view. Starro would be the villain, because you can't have a first JL story without Starro. He brings a great sort of Alien Menace to the team. and at the end, you could have them fight the giant starro for a INSANE battle. You could even have parts of the movie where Superman gets taken over and Batman or whoever has to defeat him. It could end with Superman putting the last starro creature in the Fortress of Solitude and the creation of the forming of the actual team and the sattelite (donated by Wayne Industries of course).

Pt. 1 would be about natural disasters around the Earth and the pre-league (Superman, Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, & Wonder Woman) come together to fight the natural disasters. But, at the conclusion of the movie we find out that it's actually not natural disasters, but an alien by the name of Darkseid has been causing the disasters. We find out by a visitor, Hawk Girl, the true source because her planet has already battled Darkseid and was almost destroyed. As the pre-JLA works with the government to battle Darkseid, they come to know of the whereabouts of J'onn J'onzz who was captured a year ago. He came to warn Earth about the pending attack but was captured by a Black Ops government agency known as Cadmus. Darkseid sends a broadcast to Earth about the pending attack. Batman and Superman reveal a "space station" that they have been working on with courtesy of Wayne Industry and some of the technology that Kal-El has knowledge of via The Fortress of Solitude. The movie ends with The Justice League getting to know their new headquarters.

Pt. 2 is their battle with Darkseid. Darkseid is a monumental character and should be dealt with in more than just 1 film. At the end of course, he is defeated with a little help from the "New Gods". The Justice League is officially formed.

Pt. 3 shows the planet recooperating from the attack. During this time Lex Luthor is putting together the Legion of Doom to defeat the now weakened heroes. Lex, from the blood of Superman during the 1 on 1 fight with Darkseid, has created Bizarro. Most of the heroes have been captured. The second tier heroes (Supergirl, Steel, Green Arrow, NightWing, John Stewart (who now has the ring due to Hal Jordan being beaten nearly to death) along with Batman) infiltrate, rescue the heroes, and destoys the Legion of Doom's network of world power.

Ok, that was from the top of my head, but I think it would work. Again, Darkseid is a character that should span over 2 (even 3) films a la Lord of The Rings and Harry Potter. He's a bigger than life character. I don't think 1 movie can do him Justice woot: ).

I think the 2nd trilogy should be about The Crisis on Infiinite Earth Saga or Superman's "Our Worlds At War". The 3rd Trilogy could be based on Kingdom Come. 3 great trilogies. By the time I'm gray and white haired, I can die a happy man. t:

I'm not a fan of putting a character in just to get that character in a film. I'd rather have the character with a proper history loyal to the comics rather than change things just so character A can be in a movie.

^^ because the character is significant enough to be in the movie regardless of her Checkmate history. she's got the right look, the right personality, they play their cards right this could be something like The Bourne series with superheroes.

Will someone explain why Darkseid has to be done in more than one film? He's a complex and interesting character, but he's not so difficult to adapt that he requires more than one film to show a decent version of him.

I'm not a fan of putting a character in just to get that character in a film. I'd rather have the character with a proper history loyal to the comics rather than change things just so character A can be in a movie.

That's just me, you COULD have Waller as a government agent, but then again why put her in for the sake of it?

Nothing about the movie will be loyal to comics history... for instance, it will likely start in the present day and not in the 50s, among other MAJOR changes. Also, Amanda Waller, in the comics did not begin or end her career as a checkmate operative. Perhaps the league meets her before that point in her career?
