I'm trying to incorporate Vrtha's advice on using three colors

Much better KAD.
Can you adjust the opacity of the colors? I can on the multiple programs I use. What I do is sample the shadowed color and the main color, (or light source color and main color) with one on the left button and one on the right at 25% opacity to blend the two colors for a more gradiant color.
It works great on most people and objects, metals are another story and even more contrasting in color depending on the polish of the metal.

i did the sketch pretty quick and originally intended to do a complete drawing of the suit in a tube in the Batcave.

But family and other things call so I came up with the profile to fill the space

your perspective, composition and anatomy in this pic are freaking awesome. keep at it!! only thing i'm not sure about is the colour of the dude's beard: seems too vibrant and not coherent with the rest of your palette. but overall this is very exciting; can't wait to see more. i hope to start work properly on my sword and sorcery spoof this weekend which i'm hoping might tickle your fancy...! conan makes an unofficial guest appearance!

Y'know KAD, I think I prefer this to your actual entry. They're both fantastic pictures, but at least with this one you see more of the costume and can actually get a feel of it. Your design is clever and very well executed.

I really like this sketch. Even if it is just that. A sketch.

looks amazing! great detail in the gang in the back! one note...

if you you actually hold your arm like the one that's holding the sword, the top line of the forearm meets the inner elbow joint directly, as opposed to the way you have it where the muscle extends way beyond...

I think if you make that line end there that joint MIGHT (and thats a BIG 'might') look better.

i am, clearly, not be the best one to be giving anatomy advise as its always trial by error with me (the all-to-often ends in error), but it seems like somethings a little off to my eye.

dig it... interesting change in direction for the guy in the foreground. I like it. And any issues I had with the arm and hand holding the sword (which if you read back, I wasn't the best at explaining) are completely fixed.

Nice. I like how dark it became!
