I have been out of drawing for many years and only just returned to it.

The key to great poses IMO is millions of stick figures.

That is not a pipe.

It was done by a famous artist to illustrate that images are not what they seem.

That is not a pipe it isn't even a picture of a pipe it is pen on paper creating the illusion of a pipe.
