... Now, we know when superman's first apearence will be, but I'm talking about the very first time we see Kal-El in the movie!!! The man behind the cape.
In the novilization it says the book opens up with Kal-El awaking from a long deep sleep, as he approaches the ruins of what was ones Krypton. But acording to Michael Dougerthy, all of the Krypton footage has ended up on the cutting room floor, so can this really be it??? How can they NOT show Krypton, if the film starts up like the book, care to tell me that?? I think it's a damn shame if we dont at least get to see Supes flying through the remains of Krypton, and seeing the Dome.. That should be the least.. we even see this in the teaser, so it'll leave a huge Question mark in people's minds, if we dont see this in the film...
Anyhow, seeing how the opening might not be what is written in the book, than when will we first see Kal-El in this film? The way I see it, this character has been gone from the big screen for 20 years now.. The first apearence of Kal-El should be as huge as the first apearence of him as superman, ya know! I mean the way they aproach it.. It seems as though every one has forgotten the scene from the teaser trailer, where we see Kal-El rise slowly from the side.. we see his head rising in the shadows, in the crater where the spacecraft has just crashlanded! For me, that scene is what I hope to be the first we see of Kal-El...
Come to think of it, it would be a little to fast to show Kal-El Inside of the spacecraft right after the opening credits.. It'll be like, "Oh there he is again, after 20 years!"... meh... They should build up his return, a bit.. Show how the status is on earth BEFORE he comes back. Let the audience get to see how things are with Lois first, not to mention Ma Kent, who propobly goes around every single day, speculating wether or not she'll ever see her son again. THAN, let the spaceship crashland back on earth! I hope the first we see of Kal-El will be what I described above.. The scene of him rising slowly seen from the side, breathing in that earthly air (even though he doesn't really have to, I guess). That would be beautiful! That'll be like: the hero has RETURNED! It's God-Like, can't you see it! After his return, and the time he spends on the Kent Farm, leaves more than enough time for him to have his flash-backs and tell Ma Kent of his journey, to which we just MIGHT see some flash-back sequences as well, as he tells about it.. think about that.
What do you guys think?
