Yep, they wasted Watanabe along with Holmes.

But I dont see his character returning at all.

A waste of Watanabe... look at it this way. The plot, with the Ra's/Ducard changeup, needed for the Ra's/Ubu actor and the Ducard/Ra's actor to both be believable as Ra's. You had to believe that Ubu WAS Ra's. That's why they hired an actor of Watanabe's caliber. If they didn't, they wouldn't have fooled anybody.

So even though Watanabe didn't get to do much, it was his strong presence and sheer badassness that got him hired. You should think of it that way.

we're not certain he died. just because he had blood dripping from his mouth? Maybe he got knocked out? Hell, he looked like he had about 10 pounds of wood fall on him, I'm sure he wasn't too hurt. maybe one of the explosions to follow woke him up and he hauled ass out of there.

I think Ken Watanabe is totally cool, but unless he returns for flashbacks or they miraculously make him a new character(without people going "Hey didn't he die last movie?!) then he shouldn't be revived.
