Kind of obvious with the success Spiderman has had, and with the newly signed Hasbro/Marvel contract...still it's nice to hear. Just like we will see more of the X-Men down the road. Not if...but when.

Marvel's new president of production for Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, says you can expect to see Iron Man, the Hulk and Ant-Man smashing up big screens soon.

"[We have] three directors working on upcoming movies that we're doing ourselves as an independent slate," Feige told MTV.
“Iron Man is coming to the screen, the Hulk is coming back to the screen, and we're having a fun time with a movie called Ant-Man."

Feige also promised fans of the hugely successful Spider-Man franchise will be rewarded for their box-office dollars with more sequels.

"There will be many more Spider-Man films to come," he revealed. "We already have stacks of ideas for the next one because of the wealth of stories in the comics. We could be making Spider-Man movies for the next 20 years, based on the 50 years of Spider-Man history we have."

The young exec also told MTV he’s thrilled to be taking over for veteran comic book movie legend Avi Arad (Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Elektra) because, well, he’s a huge nerd.

"I'm the biggest geek around," Feige explained. "When I was a kid, I was like, 'Where's my Spider-Man movie? Where's my X-Men movie? Where's my Hulk movie?' Selfishly, I have to say thank goodness they waited so I could be the one to help shepherd them to the screen."

Well we've had 50 years of monthly comics with various titles they surely can come up with 15 movies over the next 50 years. LOL There's so much source material it's crazy.

WOW!!!! This is awesome, i just hope they wont ****e out the Spiderman movies.

good news, lets just hope they can keep some of the key players around!

Hopefully Raimi & crew will stick to the franchise for as long as possible but I doubt Raimi wants to spend the rest of his life making Spidey flicks. You can replace Tobey or Kirsten, but you can never replace Raimi & the crew's work.

at some point in the next 10 yrs they should replace the actors or start anew just so we dont have Spider-man running around with a cane, poking at Norman.

Have Franco back in 30 years as vulture? :)

Great news, but I can be pretty sure if they base it on box office there won't be an Ant-Man sequel.

I can't believe there is a first one in the works. Did someone lose a bet?

This probably means that the clone saga is going to be introduced. Good or bad?

Anything is good, as long as it is logical.

Ill be avi is mad, he said differently about future sm movies....i just hope this guy knows what he's doing....dont turn spider-man into batman and robin please lord...grrr...rubber nipples...

id rather see the mutant spiderman storyline before they have to resort to clones.

For some reason I like this guy more than arad and has really said much of anything. I like this replacement.

Hooray! My hopes to see Shocker and The Spot on the big screen are still alive! :woot:

It all comes down to money pretty much. As long as the box office makes them happy then they will keep cranking out the sequels.

Why is Avi getting the boot as President of Marvel Studios? That makes no sense to me.
