If you could omit one mutant from x3 who would it be........

I would personaly omit cyclops, just say that he left because of Jeans death.....

I'd kill Avi Arad. Doesn't he have the mutant power to take credit for Marvel's success and duck behind a tree when movies like Electra, Hulk, Man-Thing, etc... come out.

Psylocke. It was a slap with the dick to the face of all fans.

It's hard to say...in the movies current form I would say Angel.

But with the extended edition there might be more angel scenes...in which case I'd say keep him.

Not really. I heard she'd be in it...just not in what form. The movies are alternative versions of storylines...

Same way I feel about Rogue...she didn't have superstrength and flight in this set of movies simply because it's an alternate reality of a sort. Another telling of the stories.

Psylocke. Save her for a future movie where she's not wasted.

I didn't want her to have a big part in the Movie, I knew she'd be likely just a cameo, but they couldn't even do that properly.

She was there, she did nothing, Ratner gave her the wrong powers, and then she got blown to bits.

Wolverine. After 2 movies, he should be off trying to "find himself" after Jean's rejection and then death.

That would have left room for Cyclops and Storm to step up along with Angel and Rogue.

^^ Agreed. He's got his solo film coming up anyway.

Juggernaut, they completely screwed him over

Oh give me a break with Wolverine... we gonna trash Hugh now because he was the biggest star of these movies??? Clearly it was Juggs...

She didn't have the wrong powers, she just didn't use her psi-blade. I'd think that such a hardcore Psylocke fan would know what her powers were.

If I had to omit a character, it'd be Callisto. She was annoying as hell, and we could've had more Brotherhood members instead of Callisto and her gang.

I thought this was about the characters, not the actors.
I like Hugh Jackman, but if you ask me what mutant I want dead I say Wolverine.
That doesn't imply any ill will towards Jackman himself.

Never knew she was a chameleon.

And then we have this.

How did you pick the mutants though, particularly the new characters with new powers?

Ratner: I just went through the comics and the materials and thought "this is cool"..they're what I thought was cool. Callisto and the sidekicks of Magneto, whoever I thought was a cool sidekick and I just wanted to go in and put some color into it. It's a multi-racial comic and I wanted to put some color to it. Halle Berry was the only person of color in the last few movies, so I wanted to bring some flavor, as they say.

But it seemed like a lot of them were actually created like the spikey guy, the Asian character..

Ratner: They were inspired by the comics. I took... for instance, Spike started as Kid Omega, but there was another character. I found one character that I liked and then I took the powers. For instance, Callisto has the power of another character who moves fast and has the telepathy thing. The girl from the wall looks like Psylocke but she has the power of one of the other characters. So I mixed and matched powers to service the story. Instead of having ten more actors in the movie, I just said, "You're going to have these three powers."

Psylocke, i was so happy she was going to have a cameo in the movies, i was hoping it could lead to something in the future but no, they had to go and blow her up :(

As long as they cast strong actors in decent characters a movie could easily be done without Wolverine. But come on, Arclight and Qull? I don't care how short their roles were. That was a perfect oppurtunity to cast some great characters. And Callisto? Ugh... didn't like that casting choice.

(from UncannyXMen.net)

Powers:
psychic mind altered to produce telekinetic energies, allowing her to levitate and manipulate matter with her mind, propel herself through the air, project protective force screens, and generate focused energy blades that can sever the bonds between molecules and disrupt neural relays; immunity to all forms of telepathy
formerly: a connection to the Crimson Dawn that gave her a mysteriously altered astral form and enabled her to utilize shadows to teleport herself and others over great distances, telepathy and a psychic knife that disabled her opponents physically and mentally, wore a Captain Britain uniform that increased her strength and allowed her to fly, precognition

If I recall correctly, she gained these powers in the mid-to-late 90's and had them until she died.

And where does it mention her chameleon like powers she had in the Movie?
