Since Omega is prolly in... I'm thinking we'll get a similar story to the one on the "Premise" thread... SOmething about the cold war in the 60's with the US/Canada and Russia and hopefully a little Japan... glad to see they might be going in this direction...

Gambit is NOT a Wolverine character.

I think it's the whole situation that Gambit was supposed to be in X-Men: The Last Stand but was "saved" for a future appearance.

And the wording that they are using a character that was supposed to be in X-Men: The Last Stand who was instead "saved" for Wolverine.

I don't believe it's Gambit. My comment was only regarding the general discussion on it being Gambit. But I think that's too dumb for them to do.

It'll be Omega Red or something.

This screams Omega Red! They were going to put him in X3 and he was in the original script to unfortunately get pulled!!!

Unfortunatley?? Considering the characterization in X3, I think its a blessing Omega Red wasn't in it. He would have gotten the Psylocke (in name only) treatment

It's Omega... Kinsberg or Simon or Penn or w/e the hell their names are said "Omega was orginally in the script... but taken out"... this gambit garbage needs to stop... I'm just relieved Omega will be in the flick... 99% convinced...

I'm as big a Gambit fan as they come and even I doubt it is Gambit. Gambit has no big part in Logan's history, but like most of us know and have already mentioned, Omega Red does. Red's the one who deserves the role, not Gambit.

No one has mentioned Jubilee as being possible for this movie... It seemed that for awhile her character was going to have at least a decent part in X3, but then it was totally reduced to nothing more than a wallpaper cameo with no dialogue or powers. Her appearances in the movies could easily be retconned to introduce her in 'Wolverine,' which would be great in my opinion.

They could include Captain America. No one has mentioned him yet. He and Wolverine were in the cold war together. Omega is the only possibility unless the mutant they were going to put in X3 was Sabretooth.
